I was on vacation in Marco Island in the summer of 2024 and "threw my back" out. I thought my husband and I were going to have to cut things short and head home, because I was in immense pain, and nothing seemed to help. I was desperate. Luckily, we had rented an apartment in the same building where Marco Chiropractic has their office. I didn't have much hope that I could get in to see them on a Friday, but when I called and explained the situation, they were kind enough to fit me in. After seeing the doc for two days, I had a huge amount of relief and was able to enjoy the rest of my time. Top notch treatment and very reasonable rates. They saved the day!!

As I'm leaving receptionist tells me I owe $110 exam fee Medicare does not pay. So I pay it. I get home and realize charge is outrageous. I call office, I believe his wife tells a me he did a thorough neurological exam (bs) and has a 2 page report. She has submitted to Medicare but in 23 years has never seen them pay exam fee. I tell her she should have told me of fee before I saw doctor since she knew insurance would not pay. She is rude, condescending, belligerent. When I told her I would stop credit card charge and when insurance denies exam fee (if they in fact do) and I get notice from them I will call her with credit card. Now she is adding more fees to their outrageous tab. So, tell her I'll send her a check. End of story I'm leaving it be because I don't trust her to not report me to credit bureau. By the way $110 for a new patient exam is exorbitant. And the 3 minutes of questions don't generate enough info for a full neurological work up. Quack, quack avoid. Next day pain was back and I had bruises on my back from his manipulation.

SERVICE: I have been a patient/client/customer for over a decade. Initially due to an accident, and thereafter for chiropractic maintenance and massage. Dr. Jason and Dr. Tony are the best doctors. They have excellent bedside manners, very respectful and tells you like it is. They work well together and I would often hear them laughing in the office. Now, I bring my teenage son in for his maintenance. The office staff are also wonderful. Ms. Janel is always very professional, organize, and considerate. She always thinks of me whenever there's a cancellation because she knows my work schedule is complicated. And though the massage therapists changed overtime,right now, Ricardo's strong hands is just what I need. Unfortunately, he is only there on Thursdays but he does a really good job applying a good amount of pressure and beating my muscles into shape. Overall, my family love everyone here at Active Spine. It all seemed so confusing- the woman (Liz) completed the paper work, insurance cards etc. I was in pain- she was taking a long time. Finally- I entered the room. The Dr. greeted me, asked me a few questions, suddenly she came storming in. Very hostile and breathing heavy, I could hear her by the door, every time the Dr. spoke, she would open the door and look at him. He seemed like a very nice man in a very strange situation. NOW... almost three years later, I receive an alert, I never paid my bill and it is in collections? It's on my report. (Liz) the wife, detective, distrusting and disrupting woman, never sent me a payment notice, a phone call was never made etc. I contacted my insurer, and now have to go through the hassle of getting this resolved! I called the office- no answer, so I wrote to Liz via text- someone had her phone, mentioned she would be available in a week? Advice to Dr. Germond, Sorry we all had to deal with Liz's unprofessional service! Hopefully my issue is resolved. Literally, two years later I receive a bill for $221 with a handwritten note saying the balance was over due, but if I paid in 30 days they'd reduce it by $100. I called numerous times but just got busy signals or voicemail . . .but no human contact, and gave up. Months later, I was contacted by a collections agency - Capital Accounts , allegedly retained by Stephenson Chiropractic who were attempting to collect $242.37 debt, on the $221.25 balance. I disputed the amount, was sent an itemized bill and was ultimately threatened, hung up on and harassed by "Steve, Nick and Keith". They threated repeatedly to report this as a delinquent debt to the credit bureau and when I finally out of frustration agreed to pay off the thugs, they disavowed the offer the settle a 2 yr old debt by reducing the $100. The thought of having someone twisting and turning me to make things crack and pop was pretty scary. Dr. Matt did a great job at explaining everything that was going to happen and put me at ease before my adjustment. My injuries are on there way to healing and I now visit twice a week. Not only was my fear cured but I even look forward to my biweekly adjustments. The treatment has been improving things I wasn't even expecting, like knots in my neck I've had for years that I did not know were a chiropractic issue, as well as my nasal passages opening helping me breathe and sleep better. I had an extremely bad slip and fall accident, which left me in unbearable pain. My neck and back were out of whack, and I was out of work for 6 weeks. I was referred to Dr Matt and within the first week, the pain was subsiding and I was and I was feeling relief. He took his time and explained everything he was doing. He has a great bedside manner which is nit common with a lot of Dr's, most time I feel rushed when I see other doctors.
