Did not pay attention to my medical history and medications during our consult (that alone could have been deadly when you are putting someone to sleep under anesthesia). Then he had the audacity to say I never told him things about my medical history or prescriptions when I, in fact, voice recorded every single one of our interactions because I knew someone who has had a terrible oral surgery experience and I wanted to cover all my bases just in case. Thankfully I did, because I had proof I told him everything and he simply did not listen or chart appropriately (again, dangerous). 2. During my impacted wisdom teeth extraction I woke up halfway through the procedure sobbing from being terrified and was never put back to sleep (even though there was 20 minutes left to go - I had voice memo recording the procedure and I can document exactly when I woke up and when the procedure ended). 3. He then blamed my crying on 1) taking a Valium before my procedure (I didn't take it because I drove there while my mom was a passenger to be able to drive me home) and 2) that I was female & obviously females are just more emotional. 4. When I woke up to him screaming & berating his nurses/assistants. And on the recording I had, he was horrible to the two ladies while I was asleep. 5. I had ZERO recovery time in the office. But then again I guess why would I need any recovery time since I wasn't sedated for the last 20-22 minutes of the procedure? They simply took out the IV, took off the EKG chest leads, blood pressure cuff, stuffed gauze in my mouth, and swung me into a wheelchair. I was never in a "post op" room and anything to monitor for side effects of anesthesia or to monitor blood loss. As a nurse myself, this was appalling. Within 3-5 minutes after being stitched up, I was being rolled out to the elevator. And they don't even put the ice pack thing around your face - just gauze inside your mouth. The picture is exactly how I looked when I left the office. 6. Developed severe dry socket. 7. Developed some sort of nerve damage in the same socket where the dry socket occurred. Not to mention he is a misogynist, he talks down to everyone like he is better than them, & he does have a track record of unhappy customers after he & his wife who also works there swore up and down "we have NEVER had a complaint or unhappy customer or had to refund someone's money." I have proof they have refunded others. This man's licenses should be taken away. He should not be allowed to sedate anyone.

I'm a little over a week post op and I'd recommend them to anyone. If you're like me, and constantly procrastinating about getting them removed because of fear and worry about long down time, this is your sign to do it! Procedure was fast, medication prescription was ready for pick up almost immediately, I was back to eating my favorite foods within 3-4 days, and most importantly back to work in 3 days. P.S. My Doctor just welcomed a new baby into the world and he still made time to respond to me via call about a few follow up questions... if that's not superb customer service I don't know what is.

I'm just a regular guy who needed an impacted wisdom tooth removed. In conducting my own research, it was time consuming to ferret out legit reviews from ones that seemed fake. Ultimately, I'm very happy I decided upon Dr. Moore. I expected the procedure to be painful, annoying and complicated. No part of the process was any of those things. I first tried getting an appointment at an oral surgeon my dentist recommended and the earliest available date they had was one month out. Since there are not a ton of options near me, I decided to look at surgeons in Charlotte,when I ended up on Dr. Moore. I was given an appointment 4 days out. Despite having to drive two hours each way to each appointment (3 appointments in 2 weeks), I could not have been happier with the service and outcome. The front desk staff were a pleasure to deal with. Billing was a breeze. The surgical assistants were attentive and caring. Dr. Moore was honest, kind and considerate during the consultation. When it came time for the procedure (just 4 days later), he was communicative the whole time and I literally did not feel a thing (despite assuming I would be in pain). I should note I did not opt for anesthesia, I only had a local numbing agent. It's possible I just got lucky, however, I had a lower impacted wisdom tooth removed and it's my understanding it's usual to feel pain with those. Even in recovery, I did not feel much pain and maybe took a Motrin or two in the days that followed. I had my followup today and again the staff were extremely pleasant, as was Dr. Moore. If you're in the unfortunate position of requiring oral surgery, I'd highly recommend checking out Dr. Moore's practice. And again, I don't often write reviews but I was so surprisingly pleased with the process I felt compelled to do so.

Boy was I wrong! Dr. Gist said my daughter, who receives regular 6 mo dental cleanings with no history of cavities, had a cavity. I asked more questions and he took us back to the chair to show me her "cavity". He became increasingly agitated when pressed further and said "we are done here", and walked out. I immediately called our regular dentist and paid out of pocket for a second opinion. My regular dentist of 15 years plus, was adamant my daughter DID NOT HAVE A CAVITY!! Dr. Gist is a public safety hazard. Any healthcare professional that would preform an unnecessary procedure to earn a buck should be shut down, and prevented from opening up shop again! People may be intimidated to ask questions or have a lack of resources and could fall victim to this snake! Please spread the word!

First, they fit me in the same day I saw my regular dentist, even thought they were busy. The lovely front office worker, Esperanza, went to the trouble of actually calling my insurance to verify the price of my treatment before I had anything done, because I had expressed that I was nervous about the price. She broke everything down to me as well as showing me the total. She also made sure that my insurance policy was followed so I would have coverage (for some reason my insurance requires that the exam not be the same day as the procedure). Preoperative x-rays and exam were easy and painless thanks to Dr. Sunar and his very capable assistant, Lydia. Then they booked me the next day so I wouldn't have to wait for treatment. When I arrived, they got me right back into a room, and then Dr. Sunar came to apply topical anaesthetic followed by injected local anaesthesia. He was very pleasant and we chatted while we waited for the anaesthesia to work. The root canal itself was totally painless; both Dr. Sunar and Lydia were efficient, professional, and meticulous. Even now, over twelve hours after the procedure, I have only slight discomfort in the jaw muscle due to the injected anaesthesia (this is common for me after dental work). I recommend Dr. Sunar and his entire staff at the Charlotte Root Canal Center. What a relief!

Fast forward 3 weeks, I received an additional bill in the mail for the portions of the "free consultation" that were not covered by insurance. I understand an estimate of benefits is an estimate, and is sometimes off slightly. I called and asked for a breakdown of where my copay went and all charges just to get a better understanding of the situation. Upon speaking with Greater Charlotte I found out what actually happened was: I was actually charged for the " free consultation" and the x-ray. Half of the co-pay was applied to the "consultation" and the other half to the x-ray. ( I was told that I was only paying for the x-ray). The team members that I spoke with over the phone were not rude in tone, but very passive aggressive. They apologized " that "I" misunderstood, and "I" didn't know how things worked, and that it was all the insurance company's issue and had nothing to do with them", even after telling them my issue was with what THEY told me. The remaining balance was not a large amount (roughly $30), however it was principal at this point. The crazy part is, I was in the process of actually using this office to complete a very expensive procedure that I intended to pay for out of pocket. As a businessman I operate largely on principal.
