Our insurance covers fully for two cleanings a year (pretty standard right?). That's preventative care. Yet, when I looked the invoice for services rendered and how it was filed with my insurance, it was filed as a "basic" services. So either they performed an extra deep cleaning, which they should be paid for....OR, they intentionally filed it wrong to get me to pay something. I'd like to believe it was the first and someone simply made an honest mistake. I like to assume the best in folks. So I hope that was the case........ However, the charges are different. I had to pay almost $250 OOP for that extra service. I wasn't made aware of any extra charges or "periodontal cleanings," which I guess are deep cleanings. When I called to ask what it was about, they told me to contact my insurance. But I'm fully aware of what the insurance covers. Preventative services are covered at 100%, twice a year. They did the same to my wife too. Riccobene, please be up front about any and all extra charges and please ENSURE that customers services are being filed CORRECTLY.

The office is located along the eastern side of Lewisville Clemmons Road, just north of its intersection with Peace Haven. The office faces the street, and there's a handful of parking spots out front with more available along the other buildings in this complex. The office isn't expansive but there are several dental care stations inside. Dr. Hewitt is the dentist that's been attending to my needs, and there are several hygienists and providers working in this small space. The waiting room up front is compact but not uncomfortable. Front desk staff have always been prompt and kind. They seem to excel in managing the flow of patients and data. Again, while I've only been to the office twice so far, the experiences I've had were positive and polished. If what I've seen is true to form, then this is a well executed operation.

The problems started about 2 years ago with billing. Without going in to too much boring detail the billing is a complete mess. The estimate for services is almost never accurate.
