I was brought upon this place by a friend whom I had a convo w/ about wisdom teeth removal -- she recommended me this place as she also had her consult here as well! & to be honest, I am not disappointed at all by my decision to come here! I've been putting off getting my wisdom teeth out for about a year now, but I figured now was the time to do it. Upon arriving to my consult, I had scheduled this appointment about 3 weeks out since it's summer & all of us are out of school + it's the perfect time to get them out. When I arrived, Angela, the front desk person, made the check-in process a breeze -- she had me fill out some paperwork & took care of everything else. After checking in, a nurse came & brought me back to take some x-rays to see how far in my wisdom teeth are coming in... to my surprise, I didn't realize the top 2 were also coming, so that was an interesting time for all of us. After x-rays, she brought me back into the room w/ the dentist chair & asked me a few questions regarding my history -- then we waited for Dr. Urquhart to come. Dr. Urquhart really knows his stuff -- from everything on the consent form he has you sign, to explaining the procedure, to thoughtfully answering any questions you may have... he makes you feel comfortable, safe, & that you're in the right hands. He also writes up your prescription during your consult so you can pick up your prescription prior to your wisdom teeth removal appointment. Fast forward about a month & half, I have just gotten my wisdom teeth out today by Dr. Urquhart & the whole process as explained from the consult was the exact same. Everything went by like a breeze -- he provides you w/ extra gauze just in case & was also nice enough to walk you out to the car too. If you're like me & was terrified of wanting to get your wisdom teeth out but are scared of everything that everyone tells you, DON'T BE. I highly recommend Dr. Urquhart -- you definitely won't regret it!

His office is nice, efficient, clean, well cared for. I had a procedure done under general anesthesia. The whole experience was well done. Full disclosure: this review is a little late since the procedure I had done took place in. 2011.. but I just recently switched regular dentist and the new one was commenting on how well Dr. Urquhart had done. :)

Consequently, when I recently came in to see Dr Jaime at Sunshine Dental I had a mouth full of 50+ year old metal fillings that were in bad condition, a few crowns put in approximately 8-30 years ago, and several teeth that had broken off pieces missing. My mouth was a mess. Practically every tooth needed some kind of attention. After several visits, I appreciate the expertise, professionalism, and easy friendliness of Dr Jaime and her staff. I especially like the emphasis she places on educating her patient on the proper steps & techniques going forward to maintain the work she's doing in the mouth and to achieve overall dental health. She obviously wants her patients to get maximum lifespan from their dental procedures. Her perspective of dental health being a team effort is refreshing. The nine crowns that she's put in for me so far fit, feel, look, and work great! I have a few more crowns to add yet and some stabilizing work to do before we will be finished. Obviously this amount of work is not going to be cheap, especially at the high level of proficiency exhibited by Dr Jaime and her crew so far. But quality workmanship comes at a premium and for a reason. This is an investment I am making to get my mouth (finally) in shape for the rest of my life.
