Angie initially contacted me to schedule an appointment, which I scheduled for the following week. Angie was delightful to speak with and provided a nice first impression of the practice. When I arrived for my appointment, a nice lady at the front desk greeted me. I checked in and had a brief wait before seeing the dentist. Dr. Vattikunta, also known aka Dr. V., introduced herself and discussed the process and procedure. It began with obtaining an X-ray of the jaw area and describing what could be performed. I expected this appointment would be a consultation, and another appointment would be scheduled for the procedure. To my surprise, Dr. V. said the bone graft could be performed at this appointment. To my delight, I had the graft completed and did not feel any pain with the sedative injection. The area was stitched with a follow-up appointment scheduled seven days later. I arrived for my follow-up appointment with Dr. V. to have the stitches removed. Within 10 minutes of checking in, I was on my way. Dr. Wong did not do the correct biopsy for this disease, resulting in a false negative pathology report that said that I only had inflammation. After Dr. Wong got the diagnosis wrong, he dumped me as a patient. Dr. Wong advised that I return to my dentist and get my teeth cleaned every 3 months although he knew that this was not the solution for the condition of my gums. He offered no advice on how I could get a diagnosis. I found another doctor who knew how to do the biopsy, and I was correctly diagnosed with Cicatricial Pemphagoid. If Dr. Wong did not know how to do a biopsy for the disease that he suspected, he should have looked it up or referred me to another doctor with knowledge of Cicatricial Pemphagoid. This care was not worth the $643 that I paid to Dr. Wong.

My wife, DeAnnya LeFlore-Davis, my daughter, Janee' Davis, and I, Jeffrey Scott Davis, have all experienced ongoing communication concerns when interacting with the front counter. Unfortunately, these have not been isolated incidents, and the repeated experiences have reached the point where all three of us have decided to leave the dental practice. I am not submitting this complaint simply to criticize individual employees. My primary purpose is to bring attention to what appears to be an opportunity for process improvement, particularly regarding front-counter communication, customer service expectations, follow-up, and the overall patient experience. Losing three members of one family because of recurring front-office concerns is something I believe management should be aware of and have an opportunity to address.
