The floor was not properly leveled before installation, which caused a noticeable hollow and unstable feel every time someone walked across it. This is something any professional installer should address before laying down flooring. They also failed to put a plastic moisture barrier underneath the flooring, which is a basic and essential step to protect the material over time. Because of these mistakes, the flooring has already started to shift and look as though it will come apart when walked on. It's clear the installation was rushed and not done to industry standards. Now I'm in a position where I have to spend even more money to hire another company to rip everything out and redo the job correctly. This has been an expensive and stressful situation that could have been avoided with proper workmanship and attention to detail.
