My fajita salad. Tasty beef. I think it could be improved if there were beans or some sort of salsa added to the lettuce.

In the middle of nowhere, New Mexico, dining choices can be limited. Most likely, this is the best place to stop for miles around. We ate lunch here on the way from Carrizozo to Santa Fe via back roads. I ordered the fajita salad, while he had the chile rellenos. My salad was a decent size but nothing fancy. Glad I asked for the beef as it was quite tasty and rescued an otherwise average meal. I added the pinto beans from his rellenos to give it a little more flavor. He said the chile was good, both red and green, so the rellenos get a thumbs-up. The sopapillas were great and service excellent, so, for the middle of nowhere, not bad.

Food and service was very good for an out-of-the-way place. New Mexico is an amazing place but do not tell anyone.

My favorite place to eat in all of Eastern New Mexico. The staff is so great and the food is out of this world!

Friendly people and very good food. Large portions but they will make smaller portions if you ask.

I lived in NM for 12 years and this was my favorite place to stop by for a green chile cheeseburger.

He packed us a bottle of wine and some cheese and crackers and we sat in folding chairs in a living room of a converted home with about 30 other people to watch the tablao. The dancers were so close I could have touched them without standing up. I felt my chair shaking from their stamping feet. Had I not kept hands and feet tucked I'd have easily become a part of the dance. I cannot express enough how much you need to go do this. Several times. Every year. Forever. This is even a good experience for kids who can sit quietly through a loud and passionate performance (except for yelling OLE'). Maybe 10 and up? It'll keep their attention, I promise. And yes, your own snacks and drink are allowed while watching. But there's no room to spread out. It's on laps and under your chair only, like in an airplane.

The staff was very accommodating in offering us many different options like watch the performance indoors or return the next day. We were lucky to watch such great performers that night and even though it was a bit packed indoors it was a pleasure to see them give their best. A must visit when in Albuquerque.
