During my engagement, I got pregnant and was THAT girl who had to get her ring sawed off. We then inherited a beautiful wedding set, which was extremely meaningful and we planned to use that for our rings in our upcoming ceremony. About a week ago, my fiance brought my original engagement ring to Gem Design Jewelers to finally get it repaired. We went back 3 days ago so that they could size it to my finger, which was a very pleasant experience. Victoria was very kind and helpful (and my baby *loved* her). I asked them about price/timeline for eventually resizing my inherited set, and that's what made my experience yelp-worthy. Jeremy came over and fully explained what he would do to resize, and ultimately restructure, my set. He was very considerate of my wedding stress and reassured me that he would get them to us by Wednesday at the latest. I had no intention of leaving my very meaningful wedding set there when I walked in that day, but I am *so* glad I did! I loved this set very much from the beginning. But the way Jeremy redesigned it to my finger when he resized it, and restored it to its original beauty by fixing prongs etc (things I would not have thought of), is CRAZY. He made it *my* ring while also honoring my grandmother's original set. I am so obsessed with this set, and I am so grateful that I trusted them with it! They gave me a very very good price, and got it to me by Tuesday. This has been such a positive experience, I can't say enough good things! I can't wait to see how my original engagement ring turns out!!

Since my physical therapy was across the street street, I decided to take it to Korona. Mistake. I have 20/20 vision up close since I'm near sighted. Someone working on my ring switched the emerald, I now have a lesser value stone with a big black flaw , that wasn't there before. Very sad that I was taken advantage of by what I thought was a trustworthy jewelry company. Go somewhere else, go to someone you know and trust, map it out visually with the jeweler before you leave your precious jewelry to anyone. I learned my lesson.

Looking forward to learning more on the Piano with Evan.

Having no design skill and no idea how to go about fixing this atrocious kitchen, I went to this store which sells cabinets for kitchens and bathrooms. I was introduced to Dave who ended up being my knight in shining armor (for kitchen design, that is). I made it clear to him that I wasn't looking to break the bank, this particular unit in the house would most likely be the "rental" unit. He understood right away that I wouldn't be spending a lot of money at this store and his commission probably wouldn't be fantastic. Even knowing that, he drove all the way out to my Buffalo home on his own dime and time, looked at my kitchen, took measurements and came back with a whole new design layout with architectural renderings. This cost me absolutely NOTHING. I didn't even have to buy the cabinets from him - I did ultimately buy them from him (and was very happy with the way they turned out). In addition, Dave set me up with the contractor who would perform the work. This guy was great and was able to communicate directly with Dave to make sure everything came out as intended. Absolutely great customer-service, experience and a wide array of products. The store itself is also pretty neat: they have a lot of kitchen and bathroom displays that provide some great ideas.
