It reopened towards the end of 2022 after refurbishment. The store is spacious and has a nice feel; the men's section is also improved, while I agree the fashion isn't really catered towards a more youthful market, there are still some nice items here to take a look at. I didn't notice many staff members around the shop floor, which makes it a little more difficult if you require assistance. A new and improved location, well worth a visit for NEXT fans. 4*

However, their formal shirts are of excellent quality, comfortable and smart looking, I regularly buy them for work. The rest of the store is punctuated with the occasional DVD and CDs ranges, as well as items like shortbread, blankets etc. The staff are always helpful and friendly, theres always a sale on, but for me this is a place where I only ever buy one type of item.

They always have a huge selection of foods, snacks, drinks and sweets. The housewares section is particularly good with things like lamps, Cushions, curtains and bed sets at ridiculous prices. Home bargains isn't the kind of place that has a lasting array of stock. Their inventary is ever changing so if you see something you want but don't have the money, don't expect to go next week and they will still have it. You have to grab it while it is there. They do a lot of end of line stuff from other stores and I would guess at the moment probably have a lot of ex-Woolworths stock. I would suggest that if you have a Home bargains in your area go stock up now for birthdays and Christmas gifts or cards. Sometimes the staff can be a bit ignorant. I think they probably employ youngsters for the cheap wages but sometimes a smile would be nice. They also have a sign saying that never more than 3 to a queue but that should read never more than 3 staff on at a time

Home Bargains has to be one of the best discount stores in the UK. I have bought so many things…read morefrom there! Unlike most discount stores, most of the products are 'well known' brands. The only downside I can think of the place is that when you go back for more of the same thing, they are usually gone as product cycles are very fast. I've even bought 2 sets of leather chairs from the shop which have been just as good quality as ones people have bought for a much higher price. Thoroughly worth a look when you are near the area. Get your wallet ready and a trolley because you are going to need them!

Also have xmas they have a fantastic display with some great offers. the main problem is though it is totally over stocked so finding what you want is difficult as everything is piled on top of everything, but if you can it will be a lot cheaper then anywhere else. The staff are friendly and helpful. But do not go in with a pram as you will never get round, let alone back out again, as the aisles are that narrow and stock tends to be piled out and falling off the shelfs everywhere.

The staff seemed really friendly here, they helped talk me through options available for the jacket I was looking for and the salesman had no problem going into the stock room to pick out everything similar to my current jacket he had, which was really good service - it is a shame however they didn't have it out on the shop floor. I liked how he also offered to give me a business card which has the manager's contact information on, so if I contact the store I can ask to speak to him or the manager to see if they had new stock, to save me coming in again. The layout of the store and service were certainly up to the Hugo Boss standards and from a service point of view, this is probably my favourite store within the intu Derby Shopping Centre, while it is a small store and the selection lacks especially with clearance/sale items and footwear, it is a very good store nonetheless. 4*
