A receptionist, also named Amanda, returned my call and explained that for Ms. Bellotti to return my call it would cost $300. I explained that I frequently retain the services of legal counsel for various matters (over $100,000 in legal fees last year alone) and that I am also an attorney and I am not trying to get free legal advice but rather trying to see if Ms. Bellotti is the proper person for the work and to see if she is even interested in taking the work. I was told that the message would be given to Ms. Bellotti. I just received a call back and was told that the information I was given earlier was indeed correct. For Ms. Bellotti to speak to me on the phone would be considered a "consult" and would cost $300 but if I was willing to commit to payment she could call me in 10 days. So I can't speak to her acumen as legal counsel. But I can speak to whether or not Ms. Bellotti made an unwise business decision. She did. Beware. The savvy client might consider looking elsewhere for counsel.

Three Christmases later and we don't even have a parenting plan put together. Communication with them has been a nightmare. There was little to no effort to keep me informed on my case. Every time I tried to contact them for an update, I would call multiple times a day for days at a time with no response. There were at least three occasions where I had to call from a Georgia number just to get through (I am from out of state). Of course, my call would be answered on the second ring if it were from Georgia. I guess they only get excited for new money. This was the most expensive disappointment I have ever had to deal with. They very clearly did not care about me or my case. Business is business, but you can still conduct business and be a nice person. I hope they read this and make the decision to do better. I would not recommend their services to anyone. I could not be more disappointed with the lack of results, communication, and compassion.
