Nothing like getting a face full of chemicals from the previous vehicle because of the door not being closed while trying to pay! Also having another dirty vehicle pulling in behind you before your done drying your car...spraying dirty salt from their undercarriage all over your clean car! The machine should not say pull forward to the next car while someone else is still in the bay and isn't finished! What a ripoff! I had enough common sense to wait until the car ahead of me was done but common sense isn't a flower that grows in everyone's garden! I get terrible anxiety hoping nobody comes behind me and isn't smart enough to wait! The chemicals spraying outside of the wash is a bigger problem though! Poisoning people! My car looked like it had never been washed. A waste of $15! Contacting this place is a catastrophe! Sales after sales after sales offers for EVER! Wilderness Car Wash - This is right after my "car wash!" - Car Wash Near Me - Houghton, Michigan

I have never had a huge issue with a car wash here, but the car doesn't get completely clean. Today I went to vacuum out my car, the area was trashed and not plowed. I put $1.50 in one vacuum and then realized it had no nozzle & was broken. The second machine ate about $2 worth of quarters, but worked when I put in dollars. I tried to call the number online to report the issue but it was some medical alert bracelet scam. The other number is out of order. Frustrating, I will not be back. read more

It does a poor job Cleaning. It leaves a thick white scum on your car that doesn't come off.

I placed a credit card in the slot and it kept saying it was waiting to validate it. I pressed for a twelve dollar wash before it would not credit the card. Then it said I had to use cash. I then tried another credit card because I had no cash. It said the same thing. I backed out and never got a car wash. The next day I looked at my checking account and twelve dollars was taken from my checking account. That was the first card I used. Now I try to call the number listed and it transfers you over to a free medical alert. How do I get my money back? I got stuck inside the car wash on 4/14/21! Door wouldn't open. Had a hard time using the emergency cord. Scared me! Very dissapointed.

Unfortunately this area does not have very good car wash places! Wilderness car wash is fine if you pay 10, 12, or $15. 8$ wash tho literally rinsed our rig once, soap around once, and one more rinse. Soap suds literally all over our rig as the dryer blasts and that was it! Do NOT!! Get the cheapest choice unless your interested in going home to scrub your vehicle afterwards! read more

Normally a decent job, but Feb 8 at 2:30 I paid for a $10 wash, credit was accepted, bay was empty, arrow and voice command told me to proceed, but left bay door would not open. Tried to call for assistance. Nothing but ads trying to sell me life alert, car insurance, cable options, etc. Impossible to reach anyone. I was LUCKY no one was behind me and could reverse and leave. Did I just lose $10. RIDICULOUS!!! read more

Good car wash! We got the works wash and it did a fantastic job. It got all the bugs off from our trip up and that can be challenging. I had to take away a star because I thought that for a automatic car wash where there is no person working that $9.00 was expensive. The location is convienant. read more

I tried it once and never again. For $8, basic wash, there was no underbody wash and a dryer that didn't work. Like another reviewer said if you buy this package you'll be washing it yourself at home. Why can't Houghton get with the times?? For $30/mo I get all the car washes I want downstate. Since Cupcakes Carwash took over very poor quality on car wash. Extremely disappointed! It's just like Cupcakes other car washes. Not Good.

We ran through this car wash after finding our car covered with pollen one morning while on a trip to the Keewenaw Peninsula. Since the pollen was affecting our allergies and the car was covered in dead insects from the drive, we thought we'd take care of both problems at the same time. Not so. It did get rid of the pollen, but the bugs on the windshield and grill were only reduced to smears. I'd recommend the place if you have a light coating of dirt, but suggest you look elsewhere if you have anything more. read more

The car wash is over priced for one thing, but I have been willing to keep using it as it is the only touch less car wash in the area. Not only the fact that it is overpriced, but it is maddening when we bite the bullet and spend $10 or more and our car doesn't even come clean. This is getting ridiculous. We have now chosen to drive around with a dirty vehicle until we can get outside and wash our cars ourselves. It would also be nice to be able to contact the owner of the car wash in hope of some recourse/remedy for the poor service, but there isn't a phone number, email, website to be found.
