I do not recommend using this company for lawn installation…read more We hired Phil Carrier in 2019 after a great initial meeting, a well-laid plan, and his assertion that "we were in this together" and he would work with us to have the best lawn possible. He was content to spend his first summer after the lawn installation mowing crabgrass and not taking action to improve the lawn. I had to prompt/pay him to add a crabgrass killer/preventer after the weeds swarmed the newly growing grass. The following year (two years after the initial install), when the lawn looked as it did before he started working on it, he decided to send our soil to an analyst for chemical composition testing. He did one treatment for acidic soil and laid seed (which we watered daily for weeks) and then did not hear from him until I reached out in late March of 2022. He initially responded to my email, but after emailing two times without response over three weeks, I called to get his intentions for our lawn. After I refused to pay for more seed, he told me he had "tried everything" for our lawn and could no longer provide us services. We have growth in certain areas but large empty patches in the main areas and only dirt/weeds in others. When I reminded Phil Carrier of his initial commitment to build us a lawn (and a large sum of money), he simply said "sorry," and that was the end of our relationship. His customer service is severely lacking, as we would recurringly need to contact him first to ask for his plans to continue to improve our lawn. He was only consistently responsive when the topic was lawn servicing (mowing, edging, etc.).
