You get all sorts of shows here from professional comediens to amateur dramatics and musicals (I have been fortunate enough to perform here and thoroughly enjoyed it). The theatre is accross the road from Ickenham tube station (approx 100m), on the Metropolitan & Piccadilly lines, for easy access to those who can't drive/don't have a car or would prefer a social evening. It also has its own private car park; however, this gets very busy so turn up early to avoid dissapointment. It holds about 160 people seated in the auditorium, with a basic seating layout. Sound travels quite well and you can generally hear everything, even if you are right at the back (so long as the actors/singers voice carries!). It has a nice little bar in the theatre with a sufficient seating area. The Foyer/Bar area is modern and tastefully laid out with the more traditional surroundings of the theatre building and garden. There are also some very nice pubs in the local area to visit after the show has finished. There is plenty going on here, so always worth putting it into your favourites list so you can keep abreast of events.

The shows that are put on here, are, unfortunately, rather down-market with very little serious drama or music on offer. There are occasional oases of higher culture but the majority of shows are "an evening with a has-been", "songs from some popular show of the past", "the never-heard-of-them brothers" etc. style. I realise that some people do prefer these types of performance but it would be nice if there were a greater variety of styles of show to include some drama, musicals, etc. Obviously this is rather a personal pespective!

From there, it's a short stroll to the theatre In common with most local theatres, they put on a mixture of events from one man shows to plays to hosting events. The theatre space is about average for a local theatre and the seating is comfortable and nicely banked with good sightlines I've enjoyed a few shows and attended an award ceremony/evening here. We're lucky to have a place like this is town…read more It's something like the fourth oldest theatre in Britain and, since it's refurbishment, is churning out quality performances with big names. It only seats a couple of hundred people - so it's not huge - but, despite it's size, it punches well above it's weight. You get plenty of famous names appearing throughout the year and prices are generally reasonable.

Also runs a cinema club that plays films that have been in mainstream cinema for a couple of months for a very low price. Would be good to see more recent release films & theatre productions there. Great for what it does in a limited capacity.
