Sam is the man, the most respectful and kind businessman I've ever met. Runs an excellent store with an unmatched selection of glass. He will make sure you walk out of the store with what you need and not try to sell you a bunch of extra junk just to pocket some extra cash. I walked out with something much nicer than I thought I could have for my price range and I wouldn't have even noticed it if it weren't for him. If you need glass Wild Zone is the only choice! read more

This neighborhood shop is above and beyond any other of its kind, including Millenium, in its unique inventory as well as customer service. The owner. Sam, is kind of the glue keeping it on the top of my list. He is very knowledgeable of his inventory and is careful in his recommendations as he thoroughly understands your needs completely. If you are wanting a one stop shop AND support your local stores you WILL NOT be disappointed in the least. read more

The owner of this store is always so pleasant and helpful, a true gentleman. I always find what I want and they have a great selection of different items. The store has been my go-to for nose rings for many years but there are other things there that I have purchased. read more

Nice little smoke shop located close to the river. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon, not looking to buy anything..we just enjoy looking at all the pieces and artwork, they definitely have a great selection of items! Absolutely beautiful, unique and creative pieces. The worker was very friendly, not pushy and just let us look at our leisure. It sucks not being able to buy stuff and actually support the business (sorry guys) but the least I can do is review, share my insight & suggest this place to friends. read more

I love Sam. He's become a good friend to me. He always has great words of wisdom and is very knowledgable about every little thing in the shop. He treats people well, learns most customers names. He is in a class of his own. I sure hope that he can navigate the loss of much of his product line after they have outlawed vape sales. Please help support Sam. He's a legend at what he does. read more

Not open during posted hours. Waited 50 minutes and left watching several others turned away by locked doors and "we'll be back" sign.

Sam, the owner, is the kindest and sweetest man. He always takes very great care of me. He never has me leave without making sure I'm very happy with my purchase and genuinely cares about his customers. He remembers everyone's name and is very thoughtful to the people who come and see him. I couldn't recommend this space more. If you want to be taken care of, get the best prices in town and amazing service by a locally run business, go to wild zone! Hands down..the best. read more

Wild zone is the best smoke shop in Sac when it comes to puff bars and e-cigarettes at least. The owner is so open, honest, and friendly we just keep coming back. I highly recommend going here, his inventory is bigger than any store I've been to for ecigs. This store honestly deserves more customers! ***WARNING*** 1. If you don't like the taste of an ecig that's NOT the store owner's fault its the different companies making them. 2. If you get a headache or feel nauseous after smoking that's a sign of smoking TOO MUCH NICOTINE and has nothing to do with the store just don't smoke as much. 10/10 would recommend lmao read more

Old man Sam was the best!! We picked up the coolest rig for an amazing price, he was even nice enough to give us a crazy deal! Definitely will be coming back and highly recommend!!! read more

Huge selection of cool stuff. Sam, the owner, is friendly He took the time to show me items similar to what I asked for (in addition to) both higher and lower priced. If you're looking for an unusual gift this would be the first place to visit. read more

Despite the unassuming exterior, this shop is first class, with an incredible selection of items- from "value" to ultra high end. I have been shopping here for over four years and Sam is a pleasure doing business with. More than once he has told me before a large purchase to inspect the options well (he always takes things out of the package and lets you fully inspect at your leisure), then go home, think about it, maybe read some reviews on the internet, and come by when I'm sure what I prefer. Other times he's told me, I carry this because some people just have to have it, but I don't like it, I think its cheap, and I think you would be better served by this less expensive but superior option over here. That's just the kind of guy he is. In summary, old school service with integrity, and in the business for long term customers, not a quick buck. As an aside, I find the few negative reviews here interesting, and can only speculate that these folks may not have been of the character that Sam envisions as long term customers. I can't see Sam being very tolerant of "attitude" in his store. read more

Got my belly button pierced here. Showed all the materials to me and told me what they were and showed me as he sterilized them. Was very nice and talked to me and told me what he was doing. Definitely recommend this place if you wanna get your piercing done. Has been doing them since '76. read more

Honestly I wanted to love this shop because there's so much variety when it comes to puff bars. But.... i came in the 2nd time and the same shit happened. The owner Sam tried to sell me fake puff bar flows! Not once but twice as if I didn't know how it was supposed to hit, taste, and look. Even though I was so nice and kindly told him that it's not supposed to taste or look like that, he insisted that I scratch some number and check if it's fake myself. It's like he puts the fake ones in the front and tries to sell you it instead of the real ones that he has behind the fake ones. What irritates me the most is that I know that he knows they're fake but he still tries to scam you. So if you do come here, make sure you know how the flows hit, taste, and look before you confirm that you want it. My friend has already been scammed twice with the fake stuff because she's nice. As for me, I didn't drive all the way from Natomas to get scammed! read more

I have been a customer of Wild Zone for over 5 years. I have NEVER been disappointed. Every experience I have had with Sam has been educational and informative. He takes this commitment VERY SERIOSLY! I am a neighbor of the store on La Riviera so I am in there FREQUENTLY! Sam Knows his business, Knows his products and most of all knows and appreciates his customers. He doesn't just sell you anything to JUST get your money in his cash register. He takes the time to work with each and every customer to ensure the best quality and value for the money spent. THIS IS COMMENDABLE!! Thank you Sam, Keep up the GREAT WORK!!! read more

Great customer service, cool pipes, best place to get body piercings. Sam is just one funny amazing dude!

Sam is truly the kindest and most professional business owner I have ever met. I love this shop, best prices and even better atmosphere.

Legit the sweetest and most knowledgeable smoke shop owner I've ever met. I came in half an hour to close, and was told his debit card machine was having issues. I asked where an ATM was close to here, which was only two doors down. Sam was so apologetic, even though it wasn't a big deal at all, and insisted on throwing in a can of butane to go with the torch I just purchased. Truly a class act. I will definitely return. read more

He's a great man, he will tell you what's best for you and not for business. Very nice owner, always provided the best customer service for us! I come here 3 times a week read more

They don't build them like Sam anymore. Trust me go in there once and you'll become a loyal customer. Sam is class personified. A true class act. Good prices and great selection on puff bars and glass pipes/bongs. A classic SF high end pipe store without the tourist prices. read more

Sam is the kindest! This is the first time I've ever been to Wild Zone, and it ended up being the best (last minute) stop I could've made. There is a HUGE selection of pipes and so much more that I didn't get to see only because I was in a rush to get home and eat dinner, but I am planning to come back ASAP! Plus I got the most beautiful unique pipe for $20! read more

By far the best store I've ever been to across the board. The owner is amazing and he provides the highest level of customer service imaginable, and not only that, he guarantees that all items sold are of the highest quality before you even purchase. I am a regular customer here and I have not once had to pay for an item until I made sure it was working and genuine. If there was an option to give 10 stars out of 5, that would still not suffice. Any review that is less than perfect is obviously from someone that is mentally unstable, a thief or a scam artist that wasn't able to take advantage of this amazing business. Love you brother. You are one of the few good ones still around today. read more

Beautiful store. I've only ever had great service in the many, I'd say 6+, years I've been coming to Wild Zone. Sam is a wonderful man who loves helping out his customers, despite what the low starred reviews say he's very helpful and I've never seen him rude to a customer once. I was actually there this evening and he helped me out with a problem I was having with my ecig. He even took the time to explain how to use it properly and pointed out what I was doing wrong. Wild Zone will have my business for as long as Sam is there. read more

Awesome place. BEST customer service I've EVER had at a smoke shop. I couldn't be more impressed.

Recently visited Sam (the owner) at Wild Zone to pick up a few things. While there, I was reminded why I do NOT miss working retail any longer. It seems as if there is a prevalence of people with a very high degree of entitlement. Maybe it's just me, but this expectation afflicts many today. As Wild Zone is located next door to a bar, I all too often bear witness to intoxicated people wandering in (intoxicated), only to complain about customer service. Why is it that 'these' people are the ones who run home to complain about their experience via the internet? In short, my suggestion for them, is to NOT come in high or drunk!! Sam, the owner is the most cordial fellow one would ever want to meet. He always goes out of his way to accommodate his customers as evidenced by so-o-o-o many positive reviews over the years! It's always easy to identify the people who would be a problem for any business. They often represent themselves as entitled, argumentative, demanding, unforgiving and just plain uncooperative. For really great customer service, this is the place to go! To say that Sam's customer service is 'old fashioned' is to say that it is reminiscent of a time when people treated each other as they indeed wished to be treated!! Keep doing what you are doing Sam! I/we appreciate it!! read more

Sam is the best guy. Amazing prices, extremely respectful. The best smoke shop Ive ever been in, the customer service he has is amazing. I was curious about a hookah he had, he literally packed and let me use the hookah. Best guy with unbeatable prices. read more

Wild Zone - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Sacramento, California

this is the WORST place to buy your illadelph "water pipes" i drove from san jose, 127.7 miles to buy an ash catcher which he said he had in stock, and in he i mean SAM, told me he was the owner over the phone i drove here in a hurry because he couldn't tell me the price over the phone, but he said the price was around the same everywhere else well no it's not...an inline ash catcher at 499.99, on aqua lab tech for 330.00, i showed him the link and the availability and now what HE SAYS HE'S NOT THE OWNER ANYMORE, JUST A WORKER i'm guessing in sacramento he's the only one carrying illadelph so he jacks his prices up ALL HIS ILLADELPH GLASS PIECES ARE OVER PRICED spoon pipes for 249.99? everywhere else for 149.99 this guy claims he has the fattest selection in illadelph, he's never been outside of sacramento, THE CAVE IN SAN MATEO shits on him he said he's been in the business since 76, but can't even price match? his excuse is the items are so rare so he has to sell it for the max price? so you get an account with illadelph, rare, and you jack up all the prices above RETAIL at a RETAIL store. i've worked retail for many years, and i have been using illadelph for two years strong i know my product, i know my prices, this man SAM, made me drive 130 miles for nothing, HORRIBLE BUSINESS, in fact i drove 86.6 miles to berkeley afterwards, and they had the exact same amber inline ash catcher for 360.00, done deal this is by far the shittiest smoke shop i went to again this is a smoke shop, this man is an old hag who tries to rip his customers off, just because you've owned this place for 35 years...you don't get to raise all your prices by 1-200... i was nice, i came in after a long drive, had cash ready, and this man just turns me down for regular pricing at first he was trying to tell me that aqua lab tech was selling a water pipe more expensive than them..COULDN'T EVEN SHOW ME THE LINK TO IT, and believe me i'm always on aqua lab tech's website. OH AND SAM IF YOU'RE READING THIS: I HOPE YOU LOSE YOUR ILLADELPH ACCOUNT, I WILL BE SURE TO SEND THEM AN EMAIL ABOUT YOUR HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COCKY, OLD ATTITUDE; YOU CAN'T LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS, YOU TOLD ME YOUR WERE THE OWNER, NOW YOU CAN'T PRICE MATCH CAUSE YOU "JUST" WORK THERE ALL OF A SUDDEN -never returning customer read more

The worst service ever!!!! They didn't want to sell me a highly educated dabber separate from the carb cap. They insisted that it comes as a "set". Everywhere else sells them separately but they wanted to charge me for pieces I didn't need. The owner told me that it came only as a set. From him telling me that I knew he's trying to hop a fence and get over on me. I didn't barter or anything, I was being polite. I jus walked out. NEVER COMING BACK!!!! read more

Horrible! I went to this place three times each time the owner was completely rude & has no customer service skills. 1st visit was not in the store for 5 minutes & was being rushed & was told " hurry up & buy something because he was busy but no one else was in the store. 2nd & 3rd time refused to help or answer questions & was denied access to the rear half of the store because he was helping someone else. Me & friend were told come back tomorrow & hopefully I can help you! I will never go back in this store. There are other smoke shops in the area that know how to treat & accommodate customers. Sam learn how to treat customers with respect & get some help to accommodate multiple customers in the store! This place has a lot of stuff but overall it is the worst business I have been too & will not ever return!!!! Buyers beware! read more
