Customer service is absolutely terrible at this location! The location in MT. Pleasant was my favorite smoke shop this one is terrible! Always have loved Wildside since my college days at their East Lansing store. They generally have everything you could need, but you do need to be careful to "read the fine print". Great selection of eliquids, but most importantly their water pipe selection...Go for the quality and you won't be disappointed with their pricing. EDIT: Not sure if this info holds true today. Buyer Beware. Their selection is hard to beat and their higher end water pipes are the way to go in my opinion. Zob glass for one. They also have a decent selection of dabbing accessories. I even went in once just cuz my cartridge was stuck! They always have the customers in mind and are honest and informative about all their products. My first experience with Wild Side was in Ann Arbor at their other store, where I sat at the e-cig bar and bought my first e-cig and flavors. I live no where near A2, and it's a long way to drive so when my e-cig broke right after I bought it, I was going to make the drive back up, except I passed a Wild Side on my way home from work, right at Adams and Woodward! They were so kind and courteous, they fixed the e-cig for me, refilled it, and sent me on my way. So, a week later it breaks again. Louis (the manager) gives me a whole new piece for it that he says won't break. I sit at the bar, try different flavors, buy some flavors, and im out. This happens like 2 more times within the next few weeks. I'm not sure why I'm having problems with my e-cig, but he takes care of me every single time I come in. I never had to pay to replace the piece that kept breaking, because it was under it's warranty. I like going in here for my e-cig products. They have a great staff who is very nice, helpful, and don't make you feel like a burden. So, if you have never been to an e-cig bar, I highly recommend it. What a great concept! They have so many different flavors of e-cig juice that you can taste and see if you like, before purchasing a bottle of it. You can choose from no nicotine, or 6 mg, 12 mg, 18 mg, or 24 mg depending on your nicotine needs. The nicotine does alter the flavor or the juice a bit, but not terribly. They also offer a variety of smoking devices such as pipes, bongs etc... I'm not into that stuff, but they do have a nice, organized store with a lot of accessories to choose from! read more

Wild Side Smoke Shop is the Willy Wonka of local smoke shops. Colorful, eclectic and bodacious attendants. There's a E-Cig bar at the entrance, and the back hosts a righteous variety of equipment. Wonderful people, stellar products and fair prices. read more

EDIT: What a shame. After my last visit I have to lower the review by a star. They no longer carry the copper covered pieces and they have much lower quality art. The glassware is less impressive but more expensive. Now and they have a much larger selection of your average spoons and chillums. It is all fresh glass and none of it is recycled so thats a redeeming quality but even BDT has nicer looking stuff at this point. It is convenient being on Woodward but the price should reflect the quality and they raised the prices and have lower quality pipes. I would still consider it a decent head shop if the staff weren't so judgmental and critical. I almost walked out without buying anything because the guy behind the counter was rude and ignorant. He answered one our questions with a very sarcastic "how the hell should I know, I'm not a mind reader." There was a very awkward silence and we quickly bought our selection and left but I certainly will not be returning. (old and now irrelevant) This location is not related at all with Mike's Bubbler that was there years ago. Great selection of glass that spans all price ranges. A very interesting assortment of glass pieces that have copper grown around them. If the staff wasn't so judgmental and rude I'd give this place 5 stars but the way they treat people that spend money there is an easy 2 points off. They have just as much stuff as BDT without the friendly service. read more

The manager at this location (Birmingham, MI) is condescending and rude. I bought my first vape from this location and found the manager to be less than helpful with sharing important tips and helping me make the right purchase for my needs. I would like to add that I was the only one in the store at the time so there was plenty of opportunity for the manager to help. Frankly, I just think he doesn't care at all. I have been back several times for various issues and Wildside doesn't stand behind the products that they sell. I have found other smoke shops to be a pleasure to visit. I would recommend that you bypass Wildside Smoke Shop in Birmingham and go elsewhere. read more

Really really bad customer service. Sold me a vape pen, which was defective. The very next day, I took it back in. They told me they could do nothing about it and I would have to contact the manufacturer myself. They do no returns, but I said, thats o the assumption that what they sell works. Very unhelpful. Keep in mind they will not help out if what you buy ends up being defective. Also the manager guy is pretty crude. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE read more
