Fall Mountain Farm is the perfect autumn activity spot for the whole family…read more I went with my wife and my family, and everyone had a blast. The farm is beautiful, and magically decorated. The staff was wonderful and kind. And there were many attractions to enjoy. My wife especially liked the 'Bunny Bungalow' building in the animal village :) My favorite parts were the hay maze and the pumpkins, which they grow themselves in patches you can see on the hay ride. I recommend going earlier in the morning to avoid long lines and to get your choice of pumpkins; the best ones are gone by the end of the day, although they're all impressive. Overall, I would absolutely recommend going. Take your spouse, take your family, go with friends. There's stuff to enjoy for everyone.

So naturally when they announced the festivities were back, so were we! ++ The local brewery, Elizabeth Brewing Company, had a booth set up and was serving up a killer prickly pear margarita beer that I just couldn't get enough of. ++ Can we talk about the food? Cause damn, were there some amazing food vendors. I'm a sucker for funnel cake. So I always insist on picking one up, and it never disappoints. There are tons of other options including tacos, shrimp po' boys, and so many more options. ++ Naturally, the mutton bustin' is the sweetest part of the show. Watching the littles hold on for dear life to a fluffy sheep is always the sweetest. ++ There's a ton of vendors selling just about everything you need. Belt buckles? Yep! Shirts? Yep! Cowboy hats? Yep! Window? For the love of god why are they selling window at the rodeo, but yep! ++ The people are always super friendly. Though I will say, with the "cowboy culture" gaining popularity (thanks Yellowstone) it's gotten a lot more crowded than previous years. Easy to see that The Elizabeth Stampede is a tradition we look forward to year after year. Can't wait to make our way back for a sunny day spent with friends.

I love exploring the individual artists tents/ booths which showcase everything from modern art to folk art and hand knit hats. I bought some great jewelry pieces. It is wonderful to have that one of a kind piece handmade by artisans. I also purchased some gorgeous hand blown glass pieces at an excellent value. This year I spent a good deal of time just wandering around enjoying the live music, the birds of prey exhibit, the delicious food and snow cones! Wine & beer were also available for those who wanted to enjoy them. I try to go every year as it now signals me that summer is coming to an end and the leaves are turning beneath the Rock.
