I was able to get ancestral blend ground chicken, organ meats, and then grass fed options. All of these are hit or miss and spotty to find at conventional grocers from Wegmans, Giant, etc. im I'll update once I use the meat I ordered. My mom is always my go-to for finding new spots to shop in the city. We love the Ardmore/Wynwood area and enjoy shopping at places like WF and TJs; so I was excited to hear there was a pescatarian friendly "meats" market nearby. We stopped in over the weekend and we had a ball. All kinds of crustaceans (crabs, lobster, shrimp, mussels, oysters, clams etc.), nice wide variety of fish, and meats if you're a meats person. I admit that I've been passing by this location for a long time now, thinking it was a high-end specialty store. Last week a friend recommended them, though, so I thought I'd check them out. I was wrong. They have a variety of frozen foods, everything from hot dogs & ground beef to elk, quail, bison and plant based "meat". Veggies, desserts, frozen dinners, frozen breads. Everything they sell, with the exception of some bottled spice mixes, is frozen. The prices are reasonable, in line with the local Giant. You will not see national brand names. If you MUST have Purdue, don't stop here. The store was very clean and well lit. Even with all the freezers, the ambient temperature was comfortable. It's definitely on my shopping rotation now. Customer Service after purchase was catastrophic! I have loved the products for years and will never ever order again. My product arrived half thawed in a hot bag. There was never any apology for the error on their end. They were fixated on my sending in a photo as proof. They were condescending in tone and in their expectation that I should know and be willing to follow their corporate rules. I asked for a follow up in an email...crickets. Found out about this place after having the picahna at Fogo de Chao. Asked our server where we could buy this Brazilian cut of beef. Turns out you can by it at FDC, but I ended up googling and found Wild Fork would deliver it. At the time the Ardmore location wasn't even in existence and I was getting everything shipped. They flash freeze their meats which apparently makes a difference when cooking and eating. Their prices are pretty good and the quality of meat is right on. I've ordered 3 picahnas over the last 6 months and they all came in a well insulated box with dry ice. I drove past the Ardmore store as it was under construction and couldn't wait for it to open! I just placed my first order for pickup, some NY strips, sweet potato mash, and hot lava cakes for dessert. It will still be frozen, but I haven't been disappointed in anything I've had there so far. They can do same day delivery in some cases. I actually signed up as a member for free shipping but am happy to drive the 3 minutes it takes to get there! read more

This is a remarkable business. They stock a wide range of high-quality food, flash-frozen (which freezes meats, etc., so quickly that the cell structure in the tissues is not damaged), and sold at reasonable (sometimes VERY reasonable) prices. The location is a little hard to find--it's tucked around in the back of a building in an Ardmore strip mall, but once you know where it is, it's easy to get into and out of. The store is open, well lit, and welcoming. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. It's easy to shop there in person. But you can order online and pick up your order at no additional charge. And Wild Fork offers a subscription service that provides thereafter free delivery through Door Dash; orders over $200 are always shipped free (as of this writing in July 2024). Door Dash only does the delivery; Wild Fork personnel do the actual shopping for you. I provisioned almost our entire 4th-of-July celebration dinner here and was VERY satisfied. Excellent selection of meats that I was not able to find anywhere else in the Philadelphia region. The store is clean bright. Everything is nicely labeled and organized. Staff was super pleasant. Efficient and quick prices are incredible. It's a shame I have not visited the store earlier. I always drove by instead of coming in until I came across the website and I was searching for a specific means that we are not available anywhere else, including Whole Foods. They have a whole rabbit they have piglets, they have duck smoked duck whole duck, wings. The prices are hard to believe 1/3 of what you would pay at Whole Foods or other supermarkets. Stopped in to check out this new location. Lots of varieties of meats that are flash frozen for absolute freshness. Prices are average depending on what your getting. It's super clean an inviting no smell of meats like a butcher shop. Employees were helpful. I gave four stars because I purchased a piece of trimmed flap beef which is in the short rib family. It actually had a lot of fat on it for it to be trimmed. I cooked it in my pressure cooker and it still was not fork tender and needed a knife and fork to pull apart. I would not purchase this again it was 35.00, I'll try something I'm more familiar with. I also purchased some Peruvian scallops and healthy looking chicken wings dings in a bag. An also a bag of plantains which were sweet and great. read more

Love this store, it is clean, very well-lit, and organized. Their pricing is extremely reasonable. There is a huge variety of seafood (I don't eat meat) and I bought yellowfin tuna, shrimp, and salmon on a cedar plank. I have not tried the tuna yet, but so far, the shrimp and salmon were absolutely delicious, far surpassing the taste of any frozen seafood I have ever bought anywhere else. They also have an awesome selection of spices. I bought the calypso jerk rub and the hickory-smoked sea salt. I cooked the shrimp tonight with these spices and served it over rice. So good. I bought a bag of the frozen cilantro-lime rice and it tasted fresh. They have a good assortment of vegetarian options, such as plant-based burgers. I am very happy with the high quality of the food (and reasonable prices) from this store so far and I plan to return many times! read more

Very clean, new store. Have been meaning to stop in for a while to check it out and finally did. Prices are about average but the selection is second to none. I was actually able to find lamb steaks which were one of my favorite meals growing up in the south. It's a cut you could usually only get if you purchased a whole or half lamb and had it butchered to order. Don't miss out on their cheese bread either. I have bought a few steaks and meats at this store. I have really been disappointed. Last night I had a boneless NY strip steak. It was tough and had a lot of gristle in it. A third of it was not edible. All of the items are frozen, so you need to wait a while for the item to defrost. Again, disappointing after waiting all that time to have the meat turn out to be lousy. read more
