Diamond Sound rehearsal studios is a one of a kind facility in Nashville. They have approximately…read more35 private rehearsal rooms, that can be rented on a monthly basis. The rooms vary in size and rental rate, but every room is designed nicely and very well maintained. And then they also have a large showcase room where you can have dress rehearsals, and the going rate now is $50/ 4 hours. This rehearsal complex is for serious musicians. It's a place for people who want a very nice place to rehearse, and have a community of musicians that all are doing the same thing all around you. It's nice to hang in the halls and meet up with all the bands/musicians you see on the marquee's around town. It's definitely not Soundcheck, and it's not SIR, but if you wanted to pay out the nose for rehearsal space by the hour, you can always go to one of those places. Diamond Sound fits everyone's budget, and it is very private and secure. All rehearsal rooms have 24 hour access, and daytime hours are very quiet. So if you are a singer songwriter, or need a place for writing this is great in the daytime. In the evenings there are definitely loud rock bands playing, so if you are a full volume band, you won't be bothered by the noise, but if you are not a full band, you will be able to hear some bleed noise from other rooms. It is pretty minimal though. Just trying to give you the full scoop. Overall it's a great place to rehearse and my band has been renting from them for over a year, and we've have been totally happy. Go take a tour and see for yourself.

Everybody was VERY helpful and seemed to go above and beyond to help us with whatever we needed. Prices were reasonable, for the most part. The cost to rent the lighting package was a bit steep. I mean I can see if they had to set it up special for us, but in this case all they needed to do was turn the power on and show us the buttons for preset. Regardless we are glad we had the opportunity to get what we needed to complete our video. Thanks guys, we'll be back! Special thanks to Jan for the help & Ryan for the use of the mic.

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience at the Violin shop. I had several things done to my…read moreviolin; fingerboard planed, reshaping of the bridge, a little varnish touch up, clean and polish and bow rehair, new leather grip and clean and polish. They had my instrument for over 2 weeks. When I called to check on how much longer to expect the repair they said "oh, yes it's sitting right here all finished". I couldn't believe they didn't call me to tell me it was done! When I came to pick it up they set the case on the floor beside me to go over the bill. I was shocked they didn't open the case and have me play it for the amount of work that was done. I opened the case and gasped when I saw RAW exposed wood on my bow. The new leather grip was placed a bit higher on the bow leaving a spot that was under the old grip raw exposed wood. My heart sank! When I removed to blanket off the violin ALL the strings were completely loose. I don't know how the bridge or sound post was even standing!!! They staff talked to me as if I was a beginner or low intermediate student when I expressed my concern. I paid the $400 bill. When I got home and played it I simply wanted to cry. It sounded terrible as if the sound post had fallen but not properly replaced or possibly the bridge hadn't been reshaped properly. I went to another shop in town Williams Fine Violins to see if they could fix it and the luthier there was able to fix my bow. He also worked with me to adjust the sound post till my violin sounded back to its old self. I don't understand WHY the violin shop didn't have me play it ESPECIALLY if they knew the sound post fell during the repairs!!! I looked up the owner of the violin shop on their website and sent him an email but got NO reply. Save yourself time, money and energy. Go to Williams Fine Violins. They will take good care of you!!
