The store is well organized with lots of tailored, quality options that make nice gifts; more on the vintage/preppy side. Don't know how the clothes hold up with washes but if the price tag is any indication, I'm going to assume well. There is a sales rack in the back that have a good variety of styles/sizes as well. Apparently Janie and Jack is selling items they don't posses. So some items in my GIFT order were not in stock and not only they canceled this order. But NEVER notified me that it was canceled. Now it's 5 days before Christmas and I have no gift. The customer service representative was not only not apologetic, but also gave me an attitude; as if it was MY JOB to know the inventory, how dare u order an AVAILABLE item off their website without knowing it's actually not available. There's little signs that say "hi I made this!" and they're everywhere! Love love love that touch! Lena is chatty and joins in the conversation which I love-it makes you feel like everyone is welcome and included. While I was checking out, she told us the most exciting part= you can bring in any vessel and she will fill it with candle wax! Think of all the perfect vessels you have at your house RIGHT NOW! The shop is not large, but... they don't carry much merchandise. I thought perhaps it was a new store, but I learned it actually opened in 2021. I also thought perhaps they have events or something for which they use the space--and I think they do, but pretty occasionally; not a whole bunch of regular events. They seem to focus on sustainable clothing and whatnot, so perhaps that is why, as those brands may be hard to come by. Some of their stuff is fairly expensive, and while I occasionally might buy something a little more expensive for a special occasion, I'm much less likely to do so for everyday wear. I will certainly keep an eye on their Instagram, but I'm not sure I'll be stopping in too often.

The staff here said hi as I entered and then gave me the freedom to browse. Anyway, it's a lovely little store with some really nice things. It's not just a clothing store, which I appreciate. They do have clothing, but when I was here most of the merchandise was non-clothing; books, toys, games, and so on. The prices weren't super out of line with other children's stores around. The clothing is more on the expensive end--they don't really seem to sell mid-range stuff here. But it's high quality children's clothing (but do check labels--I've been to some children's stores where dry clean is recommended and that's not something I can justify for children's clothing, though I do forget to check the labels). I stopped in to see if I could find something for my friend's son for his birthday, but didn't find something that jumped out on me at this trip. I am not in Northfield very often, so it's not a shop that would be a place that I would just pop by. But if you're looking for something special or a nice gift it would be a good place to take a look.

It made it so much easier for me to make this order, especially with a kid who's potty training (so I wanted to be as efficient as possible with the trip). I don't have the app or a login but they were gracious enough to help me anyway and indeed were very helpful. The clothes I picked up are super cute and fit kinda well now but will fit very well in a couple months. Lots of parking since it's in the middle of the Village Crossing shopping center. It's on the side near Michaels and Jewel. If you use curbside, they have a couple of dedicated parking spots for you.
