My son had an appointment here three months ago to have a cavity filled. Since then, this office has canceled and rescheduled his appointment FOUR separate times. Each time, we are contacted the day before the appointment and told that they "don't know why" he was scheduled because there isn't a dentist available. We are then pushed out another 2-3 weeks. What is especially frustrating is that no one seems to have any answers. Every time I call, the person I speak with has no idea why this keeps happening and is unable to provide any explanation or meaningful assistance. When I ask to speak to a Manager, they "can't get ahold of one." Meanwhile, my child is the one who has to wait months for necessary dental care because this office cannot seem to manage its own scheduling. I understand that unexpected circumstances happen, but four cancellations over three months, especially with only one day's notice, is not acceptable. If you do not have a dentist available, why are you continuing to schedule patients and then cancel their appointments at the last minute? I should not have to repeatedly rearrange our schedules and wait months just to get my child the basic dental care he needs. Children deserve better than this. At this point, I have completely lost confidence in this office. The entire operation needs to be seriously reevaluated... from scheduling and communication to management and staffing. I strongly encourage the people running this office to take a hard look at what is happening here, because this is not how patients and families should be treated.

From the moment I made the appointment to the moment we checked out I was so pleased. We got an appointment very quickly which was so appreciative. Their new location by the movie theater in Sparks is very convenient with easy access/parking. The lobby has plenty of seating and had a very cute little playhouse for the kids to play in while waiting for their appointment time. They had a small fridge with water and a Keurig for coffee as you wait. They also had a TV with Disney movies on to enjoy as well. The staff are all so friendly and sweet and treated my daughter so wonderfully! They made her first visit super relaxed and fun! We had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Camille Gannam. The hygienist and doctor were both gentle, patient, and made my daughter feel at ease. They give out toy tokens for a couple of little machines up front for the end of their visit (or a rubber duck in my daughter's case). They answered all of my questions/concerns and I am very confident in the care my daughter received and will continue to receive in the future! So thankful to have found such a wonderful practice!

First time I can recall having a good experience at the dentist!…read more At other dental offices, it was always the same problem - they didn't listen, aggressively pushed procedures on me I didn't want, and the results were mediocre, at best. As a child, it was traumatizing. As an adult, it was frustrating, and painful. Dr. Alford, and his staff, provide an entirely different and welcoming approach. When I told the hygienist I wanted minimal polishing paste for the cleaning, there was no pushback, just a simple agreement, professional, no drama. When I mentioned that I did not want ultrasonic cleaning as it was very painful, I was told they already noted that in my chart, and the subject was immediately dropped without pushback. That was a first! Not only that, between the hygienist and Dr. Alford, my cleaning was so thorough that afterwards I couldn't feel any rough spots from my problem areas that get a lot of tartar! My teeth are also whiter than they've been in years. I'm still kind of amazed, because I'm used to LONG sessions, and having to live with sandy areas because that was "The best they could do without the ultrasonic." I am super grateful to finally have a competent dentist to go to where I feel comfortable, safe, and my concerns and wishes matter. Dr. Alford is easy to talk to and put me right at ease, as did his hygienist. I don't know if it's because this is a pediatric specialty office, but the entire staff is naturally kind and considerate. It definitely takes a lot of empathy and patience to work with kids! We met first with the hygienist for X-rays and a cleaning. Then Dr. Jackie came in. She was nothing short of amazing. She was soooo good with my daughter and made sure she was comfortable the whole time. Unfortunately, an extraction and a few caps are in our future. But Dr. Jackie explained it all so well and even gave us the option of an alternative to the normal novocaine shot and drilling. We are scheduled in a few weeks to have the work done. There's a television for the kids (and honestly for the parents too) that always has an interesting cartoon playing. There are a few tablets connected to some tables that have fun games on them. Not that you will ever have to wait very long... The dental exam area is clean and spacious, and really just comfortable for when you're waiting for your kids to be done. Most people hate going to the dentist, most likely because of the bad memories from the dentist when they were younger. My kids love going to the dentist... Their teeth get to feel all clean again and we're in and out fast. The only thing that would make this place better- if they saw adults too!

My first visit included xrays, pictures, and a comprehensive dental plan. I knew what to expect and what the cost would be. Everyone was SO NICE. No judgment, no sarcasm, no rudeness. Just a nice group of people that thank you for choosing them and then do everything they can to make you comfortable. I have now been to Pyramid Family Dental four times and it's safe to say that their kindness and professionalism isn't a fluke. They are just awesome! What really solidified the 5 stars is what I DON'T hear them do. Let me explain - there are so many establishments that don't realize that their patrons can hear what is happening at the desk. So every comment or remark they may utter about a customer can many times be heard by a separate customer. While in one of the rooms, I can hear almost everything that the front desk staff is saying and I have never heard anything unbecoming.
