From buying extensions, to getting highlights, to my hair trial - Kristin helped me every step of the way to make sure I ended up with exactly what I wanted. I said, "hello" and proceeded to the aisle. I immediately noticed the woman watching me, my daughter (who had walked to a different part of the store), and another patron. First, let me add, before walking in, there was a sign that reads "SMILE YOU'RE ON CAMERA!" I saw the sign but thought nothing of it, a sign like that was placed there for potential shop lifters/criminals and I'm neither of those so it was an after thought. However, when we walked in, I realized, the owner herself must be the "camera" because when I tell you, she spent so much time HARDCORE watching every customer in her store that she could barely assist customers that needed help. I felt bad for my poor innocent daughter. All she wanted was edge control and the woman shouted from behind the counter, "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?" It was uncomfortable and a bit annoying because I couldn't get true assistance for her being too busy thinking everyone in the store was going to steal from her. I don't know if she has security cameras but I'm a firm believer in allowing your cameras to do the security work for you. I don't knock anyone who is trying to protect their merchandise but if you are so busy being the watcher, then how do you assist actual customers who aren't criminals? Or do you just put everyone in the "potential criminal" category and so we all get maltreatment? She was so busy staring at everyone in the store that she forgot to bag one of my items. I went to my car and her kid ran out to me to give me the item. I don't care how good your store is, I will not set foot in a business that treats everyone as a criminal. I really dislike that feeling. I am a CUSTOMER who is patronizing your business.

I needed a lash fill desperately (I'm a regular every two week client at home) but was very nervous about where to go in this town. I read reviews, found Besos Salon and made an appointment online for the next day with Luchy ( I hope I have the correct spelling) and was extremely happy. When I got there I saw they are a beautiful, full service, huge salon. Luchy isn't normally available so quickly but I was told a regular client cancelled last minute due to a move so I lucked out. The lashing room is clean, comfortable and very easy to relax in. Luchy asked all the right questions about my lashes then got down to business quickly. She was professional, gentle, fast and after an hour I was finished. My lashes looked exactly as I like them ( a style my lasher calls the "no mascara-mascara look.) I was charged the two week fill-in price which was very generous because I had well over three weeks of growth. I am home now but I wanted to take time to review the salon because to find a lash stylist with certified experience from a company where I know they train and follow their stylists isn't easy. Although I had a family tragedy to deal with I'm the type who doesn't let things like hair color, nail maintenance, and lashes go. My mother raised me that when you take care of yourself you respect yourself and even if you don't feel your best you always make the effort for friends and family. It shows you respect them to dress and look your best and as this was my mother's funeral I wouldn't attend looking anything less than then best I could even though my heart is broken. The shop is so cute and such a warm and welcoming space. Everything feels clean and well taken care of. I also truly feel safe at Hair Hero to be myself without judgment. Skylar washed my hair while Quinn finished up on another client and I'll be very honest I wish I could hire her to wash my hair every day. She was gentle and thorough and it was wonderful! It's a small store but they are stocked enough for your quick run for hair product but they don't yet have a lot of hair. I didn't see wigs but I saw some braiding hair. The good thing is, they are opening the wall and expanding the store to be larger. It appears it will be double the size once the second part is open. I don't anticipate it being able to hold a lot of wigs and weave etc even with the expansion but I plan to return often for hair product as I don't have any others close to me. This might actually be the closest. The staff (possibly owners) were really nice and helpful and they said the other side will be open soon. I forgot to take pics but the next time I'm there, I will. If you need to make a quick run for bonding glue of edge control or the likes, please stop in and support this business.
