Wow! I just called the salon and spoke to Shelly. Probably one of the rudest people I have ever spoke to at a salon. I asked her what line of wigs they carry and she said 10 or 11 lines. Ok. I asked if the carried Belle Tres. She said no. Nothing else just no. Then I asked well what lines DO you carry? Again, she refused to tell me. She told me Jon Reneau and Raquel Welch and then she said she couldn't possibly know them all....REALLY?!? That's your job ma'am. I just wanted to know their lines so I could look online and see which wigs I might want to try on to buy while I'm visiting Destin. I told her that and she was so rude and refused to answer my question. I will NEVER EVER patron a salon with this type of customer service.....which was so sub par. One more thing, I saw someone else's review about wanting to take a wig in and have it trimmed up and she said the same thing, they don't trim other wigs from other places only wigs you buy from them! I found it depends on who helps you. I think Shelley is wonderful. And some of the other people aren't as I felt empathetic as she was.

I called Wigs by Cheyenne today & the person I spoke with was extremely rude when I asked if I could bring in my wig to get trimmed + thin it out a little bit (obviously I would pay for the service). I was told "We don't work on Amazon wigs" & I said "It's not an Amazon wig. It's a human hair medical wig & cost xyz" & then she says to me "We don't style wigs that weren't purchased in our shop." She literally could've asked me at the start of the phone call if I bought my wig there & nicely let me know they don't work on wigs not purchased through them. Instead she was a total snot & made a wild assumption that it was "an Amazon wig". And even if it had been, it still would have been business, & who knows - maybe I would have done more business with them in the future. I NEVER will now! I have been driving to Pensacola, Fort Walton looking for a wig that would check all the blocks be in the color, fit and style I wanted. I wasn't having any luck finding that one special wig. Another set back was finding a wig shop where the employees knew about wigs and were customer friendly. Well Wigs by Cheyenne checked all the blocks. They have a huge selection styles colors. All ages and ethnicity's were shopping and if they don't have a color they will see if it can be ordered. Now for the down side the wig you purchase is what they have on the floor they spray the wigs after people try them on but for $180 Synthetic wig I would think I'd get a new one out the box. If I hadn't needed a wig as badly I wouldn't have purchased this one. I was told not to wash until I've worn it 30 times I'll have to wait and see if this wig holds up. read more

Was excited to see a wig store in Destin, so I stopped by... sadly I was beyond disappointed. I have never felt so un-welcomes when I walked into a place of business. Despite the bad energy I decided to browse any way, only to discover that the SYNTHETIC wigs they have are on average priced between $300-400! Not even synthetic blend. Their price point is ridiculous for the quality, and who knows how many people have tried on the wig you're purchasing since they sell straight off the floor. Me, my mom, and sister went in yesterday, we were immediately greeted although they were fairly busy for a smaller Store. I will say a little pricier than I had in mind. IT IS WORTH IT. Even the synthetic pieces were absolutely stunning. *alopecia and was looking for something to kind of cover. The toppers were absolutely perfect for thinning hair!! Bridget was an amazing help with all of our many questions and seeing the girls working in the back makes me believe the lady hand makes them all!! read more

It doesn't seem like these reviews are even related to the shop I've visited every time I'm in Destin. Cheyenne's staff has always been friendly and super-helpful, providing individual attention. That means you may need to wait at times (or you can schedule an appt) as they don't rush you in making a decision. Browsers are also welcome. They have even seen me prior to store hours to trim a wig I bought elsewhere. Where you gonna find that kind of service today?! read more

I don't usually review things myself, even though I check reviews of places before I shop, but I had to for this. I recently had to buy a wig because of medical reasons. I did not think highly of Wigs by Cheyenne because of their commercial. I know this sounds harsh and snobbish, but the wigs they show in their commercial looks horribly fake and acrylic. After searching online for specific wigs that I wanted, I decided to visit their store in Destin, despite my reservations. This is the very reason you should not judge a book by its cover (or commercial). I was 100% wrong in my first assumption. This store has high-quality wigs, hair-pieces and extensions along with a staff that is completely knowledgeable, helpful and caring. Thankfully, my hair loss isn't due to chemotherapy, but they still treated me with kid gloves. The staff person seemed to know exactly what I should have. I thought deciding on a wig in my 40s would be a sad, long, and arduous process, but I was in and out of the store within an hour. I nervously wore my wig in public and was surprised and shocked at how many compliments I received. It made me feel confident, something I never thought I would feel wearing a wig. I wish I could revise their commercial so more people would understand the high quality of wigs available in our town. I am SO grateful I took a chance visiting their store instead of ordering online. I was fitted properly and told if I have any questions or problems down the road, I can always come back to them. I love shopping locally, and so very thankful we have Wigs by Cheyenne in Destin. read more
