The woman who helped my family was so thoughtful and empathetic towards the chemotherapy process. She allowed us to try on multiple styles and helped with fitting and adjusting. She provided a wig stand and comb at no extra cost. She even held one for us while we went to get lunch and think it over without charging us the $20 fitting fee. There is a wide selection of both synthetic and human hair, plus sprays and shampoos you can buy. They are expensive but will be reimbursed by insurance if it is for a medical reason and you have a prescription - make sure it is referred to as "cranial prosthesis" not "wig" read more

Helen is so talented and patient. She helped me go thru several wigs, different cuts, synthetic and human. She is very knowledgeable and has an eye to determine your style. She doesn't rush you or push you to anything you don't like. I chose 5 designs for me and nothing worked. She goes inside and grab one more and its the perfect match. Very good quality wigs are expensive, so if you are looking for natural looking wigs, you are in the right place. It is expected to have a fee for trying, because she is dedicating her time to give you a great experience and knowledge for you to make your choice. If you are serious and not wasting your time, you will nit care for the fee. The good part is that the fee is deducted from the wig price if you decide to buy. In my opinion its only fair. I had been looking online and around town for hair pieces and wigs without much success. I was returning so many of them, not quite successful in finding what I wanted, and overall feeling dejected about my search (someone had already told me I'd never find what I was looking for). I decided to go to Wig Villa and so happy that I did. First off, the owner (and her sister!) are very helpful and pleasant. I stated what I was looking for and they listened and presented things that were to my stated taste. We tried various things and they never tried to convince me that I wanted something different (unlike the other place I went to try on hair pieces and wigs locally). They spent time with me and in the end had me try on a wig style that I never thought that I would like, but the cut and color ended up being perfect on me and I purchased it. (I did in fact find something that I was looking for!) I'm sure I could have left and found the wig online a little cheaper if that was my goal, but the point was not the cheapest price - I was paying for their expertise and knowledge, and had spent over an hour in the store. I'm so happy I found Wig Villa and the helpful staff there. Of all the wig shops I have gone to in Orlando - this is the place I recommend! Color me VERY angry right now.... After reading the reviews here,I decided it was worth my time to drive the 60 miles and over $7.00 in tolls (each way)... The store is beautifully appointed with an array of options. I found 2 wigs I wanted to try.(I am covering substatial hair loss...) One wig was 350.00 the other was 260.00 The staff member greeted me and gave me time to look around. Once I had decided which ones I wanted to try,I approached her and said I found one that I was most interested in trying on. She stated there was a fee to try on that would be taken off the purchase of the wig. I get it. Since I was interested in purchasing up to 3 wigs in this visit,it didn;t phase me. Wigs do need to be tried on. You can't tewll how they're going to look on you by the way they look on the manniquin head or on someone else. So I ask how much the fee is and she tells me $20.00. Seriously? To put a fucking wig on my head???? It doesn't take any skill or expertise or training to figure that out.... But you want me to give youy $20.00 for this "service".... And if the wig doesn't suit me I'm out 20 bucks? And the gas,and the tolls??? Usually when any "fee" has been assessed in the past it's in the form of the shop telling you you have to buy a wig cap.(usually $2.00).... I've also have places charge a small fee of $5.00 if they're not charging for the cap. $20.00 is fucking outrageous for this "service"..... So,today,you lost at least a $260.00 sale,I was prepared to spend up to $800.00 (in cash)..... Am still so pissed off I made that drive for nothing. read more

Stopped in with a friend that needed a wig for a special occasion. The store owner was very welcoming and let us look closely and touch many wigs. My friend tried on several and had a great experience here. Lots of choices with real human hair and also realistic looking synthetic fiber wigs too. Lots of expert advice from the owner on how to style, maintain, and wash wigs. Great care instructions to keep your purchase in top shape. This is a pro quality wig shop, and the prices are worth it. Wig Villa also sells some fun costume style wigs too. No photos are allowed in the store. There is a small fee for a wig cap needed to try on wigs. I was very impressed with the inventory; they offer many popular name brands, styles, and colors to choose from for every age group and budget. The owner was very sweet, accommodating, and patient. She took her time with me, did not pressure me toward any style or try to "up sell" me. I tried on several wigs (I brought my own head cap) and I was happy to see that caps are required and are sold for a nominal fee (health reasons). I left with my favorite one but I think I will be going back for another one that I really liked too. read more

The store owner was incredibly rude and condescending to my mom and I after making her and I wait for a half hour in that hot and humid store. My mom has never bought a wig before and wanted to ask the owner a question, and the owner kept cutting her off as though what my mom had to say had no meaning or relevance. I just wanted to get out of there. To add to that, the prices for the wigs are too high. Don't go here expecting any respect at all, because you will not see it. It's likely that the owner is a racist as well, because the poor reviews I've read have been from a mix of races, where the majority are non-Caucasian individuals. Outstanding service and selection. Wigs come in as huge a variety as shoes. You don't expect plastic flip flops to cost the same as a pair of Jimmy Choos. They carry full human hair wigs as well as higher end synthetics. They don't appear to carry any cheap novelty wigs however. I brought my mom here because she had bought a cheap synthetic wigs online, and they fit poorly and the colors were bad for her. I knew she could do better. The service here was outstanding, they let her try on 1/2 a dozen wigs in different quality categories, from human to synthetic, from breathable net caps to less pricey synthetic caps so she would know the difference in quality. I was delighted to buy her a wig that made her feel beautiful. Could not recommend this place more. read more

We came just 10 minutes before closing but Helen helped us and made the experience more enjoyable. They offer a variety of options for both synthetic and human hair. Recently I visited the Wig Villa with my friend and we were amazed at the great selections they have. I wasn't sure what I really wanted or even the color. Michelle was amazing, I didn't even tell her the length I wanted but she brought our one that was so much my hair style and the color was perfect, we tried a few other colors but I kept coming back to the first one she put on me, it matched my eyebrows, so I ended up going for the very first wig. It brought tears to my eyes because it made me feel so good about myself and I finally had a head full of thick hair which I have never had. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit there with Michelle and if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have the self esteem I now have. Great choices and very helpful! The new location was easy to find and parking is much easier from what I hear. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2014 and began my chemo in December. I was told that I would lose all my hair by the 2nd treatment so I went to wig villa to prepare. They were very helpful in preparing me and helped me find a wig that was close to my hair. Sure enough, I lost all my hair and knowing how to put on the wig the right way was crucial! No one knew it was a wig! It was very easy to wear and take care of so I decided to go back and get couple more, in different styles and color this time :-) Thank you wig villa for walking me through a difficult time and making it fun! Recently underwent chemotherapy treatments, therefore have lost most of my hair. So today I went to Wig Villa hoping to find the ideal wig. My husband and I were warmly greeted by Gilda. We were welcomed to browse at our leisure and select as many wigs as we wanted to try. Throughout the selection, she offered valuable information and asked all the appropriate questions to get familiar with me as a person. She was most helpful putting each wig on and showing me how to style each. She also trained me donning each wig properly and how to care for each. In the end, we purchased 3 wigs which we both LOVE. I came into Wig Villa Orlando on 2/26/19, on suggestion from my Hairdresser who did some research before finding this place for me to check out wigs. The lady working there was wonderful. I have never worn a wig. I had many questions and she was extremely helpful with info and the answers she gave me. This store has a great variety of wigs that look natural, some made of human hair, even the synthetic ones look great. I visited Wig Villa today and I could not believe the degree of disrespect and unprofessionalism that I experienced. The store hours are 10:00 to 5:00 p.m. I drove for over 45 minutes to visit the shop and I arrived at 4:40. I wanted to get there earlier, but the traffic on I-4 was terrible. When I approached the door, I saw a woman inside approaching the door and I thought she was going to open it for me. By contrast, she proceeded to quickly lock the door, waving me away and telling me they were closing. I pointed to my watch and she said "I'm sorry, we're closed now." Then I saw a man behind her and they both proceeded to leave the store. I was standing there genuinely surprised and I asked them if I could please take a few minutes to shop, since I told them I had driven for almost an hour to get there and they still were technically supposed to be open according to their posted store hours. She just walked away with him and said in a rude tone "No, I'm sorry, we're closed now." You're sorry? How many other customers have you shut the door in their face when they approach your business. I was really aggravated. The sad thing is, like me, I am sure a large portion of their clientele are coping with hair loss as a result of chemo and to treat people poorly who are already struggling with health issues is disgraceful.
