I love hot dogs in any way, shape or form, and I can say the same thing about a bargain, ,especially when it applies to a great lunch. During the month of July, 2025, the Wienerschnitzel restaurant chain was running the bargain of the year: Four "Chili Dogs" for $4.00, plus state sales tax. You can't beat that!! The dining room is very compact - it only seats 24 according to a sign - but it's clean and comfortable. I suppose it's small as most patrons seem to prefer the drive thru or to-go orders. Wienerschnitzel is your typical fast food restaurant, as the menu is listed above the order counter. You make your selection from the menu, pay for it, and when your order is ready, the friendly staff will either call your name or bring your order to you with a smile. Wiener Wednesday in July! Wienerschitzel "Chili Dog," one of four "Chili Dogs," for the price of four bucks. This is truly the "Deal of the Year" when it came to dining for the month of July, 2025! The foundation of the "dog" was a small, hot dog bun, similar to buns you purchase in your local supermarket. The "dog" was on the small size, but perfectly grilled, juicy and flavorful. No, the dog didn't "crunch" when I bit into it, as natural casing wasn't included, but that was alright with my taste buds and an amazing bargain for a dollar "dog." The chili on the dog was the sort of chili that you'd find almost anywhere... maybe from a can? ...and sort of middle of the road, both in texture and taste, but... hey... this is a "Chili Dog" and it all worked perfectly for a great early Wednesday lunch in July! Little packages of mustard, ketchup and mayonnaise were available by asking the counter staff, and I dressed my dogs with a package of mustard to add to the taste. These are the same "Chili Dogs" that are priced at $3.39 each most of the time. Do the math... today's score netted a whopping 77% savings over the regular price! Of course these were truly "no frills" dogs, with simply a bun, chili, the hot dog, and the mustard for dressing. But... priced at a dollar each... how could anybody complain? I simply LOVED my lunch and I LOVED the price! You can't beat the price of these regular "Chili Dogs," as each dog normally retails for $3.39 each... and I enjoyed FOUR dogs for $4.00 this month! That's simply unbelievable, but it's true... A health inspector should advise the staff to wash their hands with frequency and change towels when cleI wish even the soft serve cone had been handled with something other than the server's bare hand. This establishment is conveniently located off of Kirby and sunrise. this is a very clean establishment very clean atmosphere. They definitely have something for everybody they have Different types of hotdogs to choose from. They even have hot pastrami sandwiches to choose from as well and also, they have certain coupons that you could use on certain visits. You just have to check them out at wienerschnitzel.com and then when you're ready to pay you present the cashier with the four digit code and you get points off of the items that you desire I have been coming to this location often on for years. There's a 2 Live Crew here! Yeah, this store is small but the amount of customers they get is crazy! I came here since I was in the area and had a craving for corndogs. The 2 Live Crew is a man(manager) and a woman(cashier), they were impressive! I had been craving a weenie covered with all the shredded cheese and meat along with beans for the longest time so when I had gotten to the drive thru I was served by this girl named Summer. While I was waiting for my order I had heard her being very rude with the other workers involving vulgar language and she decided to take that out on me by looking at me up and down as if I shouldn't be eating my weenie because I am a little overweight. Just enough cheese for flavor, but not so much that it was overwhelmingly greasy. The tamale masa was a nice smooth grind, but still substantial enough to hold the shape. My wife and I went to this Wienerschnitzel to get an orange cream cone that was advertised in a coupon. When we walked in, my wife took one look around a decrepit restaurant dining room and wanted to flee. The woman behind the counter ignored us, and another man for several minutes. The man, who was already a customer asked for more water and she ignored him. There is no drink station to serve yourself water or drinks in the dining room. He waited for her, she ignored him and he finally decided to leave. The employee continued to ignore us, so my wife decided to just ask her if you have the orange creamsicle ice cream cones She said, "No," and walked away, again ignoring us. After a few more minutes we decided to leave as well, thanking her for ignoring us. Whomever owns this restaurant and/or manages it, needs to take a good look at this restaurant that looks like it has been neglected since the stone age. There is no way I believe any of the decent reviews for this place, of which there are few to begin with. Not that leaving a bad review seems to matter much based on the others but here it goes. I was in this location on July 3rd. Had been shopping in the area and my daughter loves their mini corn dogs. We asked if we could use their restroom before we ordered. Eduardo helped us and unlocked the bathroom around back for us. After finishing up I flushed and that's when water came shooting out all over the place. My daughter and I stepped back, my 5 year old is now sobbing as it scared her and my Birkenstock's are soaked in toilet water. The bathroom floor was flooded with about an inch of water covering the whole floor to give an idea of how much water we're talking about. I ushered my crying child out and back into the restaurant. While ordering my daughters lunch I explained to Eduardo what had just happened and asked if the manager was available to discuss having my shoes replaced as I will not want to wear them again now they have been soaked in water from a fast food restaurant bathroom. He was polite but seemed unsure of what to do (and I can't blame him it's definitely a unique situation). He explained the manager wasn't there so I asked for her contact information or an email address and he shrugged indicating he either didn't have it or couldn't share it. I asked if I could leave Maricalla (not sure if I'm spelling that correctly) a note with my contact info and have her get back to me and he agreed. He also made the comment, "I thought they fixed that bathroom but I guess they didn't" indicating they were aware of the plumbing issues but it'd gone unchecked. After not hearing back for a few days I found the number to the store online (it's not printed on the receipt) and called a couple times but no answer so I found the 800 number to corporate and left a voicemail. After a few more days of no response a submitted a feedback comment through the corporate website. On July 11 Maricalla called me back and informed me that the owners are saying they have no way to reimburse me for my shoes. I don't need a check or money I want them replaced. They can be ordered online and shipped to my house, save the receipt as a business expense. I hardly ever buy anything name brand but I wear a shoe size that's hard to find and I justified buying these shoes for myself knowing they were good quality that would last a long time. Now I've barely broken them in and they're covered in toilet water. This is what insurance is for assuming they have it. Disgusting. We found little hairs in our food just now. Not one or two. It was legit ALL in our fries. Little black hairs. It's a chain, so you guys know this place if you've ate here before. Kids and I wanted something different, and my little one does love hot dogs. We don't have one of these where we live, so I suggested it. The hot dogs were ok...surprisingly since that's what you think of when you think of Wienerschnitzel. But what won my kids over was the chicken dippers. I bought the 1/3 pound to share and they just loved it...loved it so much that I had to order another full pound of it to go.
