There were none on display, but they assured us they had some and packed them into a bag for us to take home. But it was all wrong! A sausage - yep, a whole skin-covered Frankfurter-like sausage - sticking out the ends of a blanket of flat uninteresting shortcrust. A huge disappointment - one that I am probably taking an irrationally long time to get over. I may venture back, but in a suburb that is back-to-back deli and prepared food options, it's 'rolled' down my list. So sad.

Lunches at at Cafe prices for the time being so I am more than happy to come eat here and see all they have to offer. If you are able to come in for dinner you can sit around a large elegant table that is set up farmhouse style. Great for a small group. Or small tables of 2 or 4 are available. I was also impressed by the efficient manner in which you arrived, unloaded and cooked the food, then left the kitchen looking sparkling clean. A number of people commented on how pleasant and friendly the girls were as they passed the trays around, engaging in a little conversation with the various guests. Glad we did, too! Parking? There's street parking, free after 6pm, as well as two car parks near by. Easy peasy! Without making a booking, we were seated immediately. A nice menu offered some interesting choices. We opted to share a salad and a pizza. Both were de-lish! The salad was greens and raddichio in a very light dressing. The pizza crust was....soggy under the filling of cheese, mushrooms, tomato sauce, olives and artichoke while the outer edge of the crust was perfect. Good flavour but soggy... My friend felt there was a lack of effort by the staff to make us feel welcome. I did not feel that way exactly but, there was a clique like feeling. Since this was mid-week, I'm guessing it's not as busy as the weekend. That said, there's really no reason to have a clique kind of vibe and staff should actually have more time to give attention to all patrons, not just certain people. I think management or the owner(s) might offer all staff training in (better) hospitality, because a restaurants' success relies on 'good will', excellent customer service and knowing how to make patrons feel 'special'. You know...so first time customers keep coming back. As for me, I enjoyed my meal, sans the soggy pizza and the ambience. I'll be back!!
