Whisky Business happens to be in the area so we decided to give it a go as it had been sitting on my list for a while now. I'm really happy we did. On our arrival, a really friendly staff greeted us and showed us the way to the menu stand and our table. Once we were seated, she brought out jar of water and cutlery and advised us on their counter service. The whole time we were there, the service was outstanding and the staff were very informative, thorough and considerate, which we were quite happy about. Def one of the best services we have received while dining at a cafe. So thanks so much guys. Food wise, it was brilliant and really delicious. I grabbed a medium skinny cap and their Fried Chicken and waffle egg Benny, while my partner ordered a medium soy flat white and their egg Benny with smoked salmon. The waffle on the bottom was infused with maple syrup but remained crispy. It was sweet but overpowering. The fried chicken was tender and tasty. The poached eggs sitting on top were covered in hollandaise sauce, which was prob the best I have had. It was thick and tangy to the right point. The dish would have been flawless if the fried chicken had been crispy. The base for my partner's egg Benny was a thick chunk of Turkish bread (by the look of it), which we both thought was absolutely brilliant and a wonderful idea. We loved that it was crispy on the edge. The salmon was nice and fresh. Aside from the meals, they have a fairly big variety of cake and treats and a whole shelf dedicated to macrons, which also looked really tempting, but we will come back some other time to give them a try. I also really loved their decor and interior design. The artworks and cutlery cabinet. The whole place gave me that beachy and Mediterranean vibe, which I really adored. In general, it was a really enjoyable dining experience and we will def come back for more good stuff. The service was on point throughout, from the sec we went in to the time we left. The staff were all attentive and nice.

I was quite surprised when I ordered my vegan pancakes, they came with coconut icecream! I was not expecting that & it really made the meal. They have cute games & books available. My bestie & I played a few games of Connect 4 before our breakfast. The only thing I would wish for was maybe some more vegan dishes, and make some vegan thickshakes?

Chiasso is roasted and blended in Capalaba and served at many cafes and eateries around the region, from Straddie to Mt Tambourine. I most recently had a cup at Chandler Markets. There's a special medium roast 'Redlands' blend, among others, and a richer 'Metro' blend for the true aficionado. Think I might buy a bag of the Redlands for starters...

Service was prompt and friendly, always nice to chat. Prices reasonable. Food came out without much wait - the hand cut fries were recommended and did not disappoint with the home made aioli - also had pizza which was excellent ( but a bit pricey). The Vintage Apron caught my eye as soon as it opened some months before. I decided to go there for breakfast on a Sunday a while back (when my intention was just to go to Woolies and grab some milk), so I wasn't really dressed for an outing. The staff were friendly and we had our meals ordered and on the table within 20 mins. We were able to chat and relax without feeling rushed to leave and vacate, and combined with the good quality of food it made a nice end to a hectic week.

Dog lovers - don't bother! I stopped in here a quick coffee…read morewhile passing through Capalaba with my little dog. The coffee was hot and flavour was fine and the barista was pleasant and quick, however the lady (owner maybe - seemed like the boss) was quite abrupt and rude when I arrived. I was looking for somewhere with outdoor seating really because I had my tiny dog and didnt want to take him inside a shopping centre and I won't leave him in the car. When I walked up the Frontier, I was carrying him tucked under my arm (he is a 2kg chihuaha!). As soon as I stepped inside the (empty) cafe and said hello to the staff, she all but yelled at me to step out. She came running around from the counter and ushered me out straight away saying 'You can't have the dog inside! You have to go out. It's health code!'. Stunned at her attitude, I turned to walk out straight away after being scolded and asked if I can just order a takeaway coffee. I then stood outside while she leaned out the door with the eftpos machine. I totally understand that dogs arent allowed in food places. But the attitude and the way she greated a customer was quite shocking. No 'hello, how are you this morning?', no pleasentries of any sort. No understanding. My puppy wasnt walking around, the place was empty and I stepped into the wide open sliding door before being scolded like that. All that needed to happen was for her to welcome me like any customer and be polite. I have no problem waiting outside with my puppy. Instead I left feeling like I had done something naughty. This is a small, average coffee shop on the side of the main road, that you really have to make the effort to stop in at. I won't be making that mistake again.
