I made…read moresome very good friends because of you, & heard a million amazing songs, some of which still haunt me to this day. Where would my ears be without you? Where would my heart be? Where would my bank account be? You caused a deep paradigm shift in several aspects of my life -- some for the better, some for the worse, some muddled somewhere inbetween. You were a rich, rich experience, & 2.5 years very well spent.

Each show has something completely new to offer. Yeah sometimes you get (dead air) "um....." (dead air). Some of my current favorites include: The metal show, hillbilly heaven, redbank bar and grill and the local show. Definitely something different when you turn the dial to 90.5.

But for now, 96.7 is one of those stations I seem to find most everywhere - Jack FM, Bob FM and Frank FM among others - that play a rotation of 80's 90's and more recent hits around the clock. No requests, no DJ, it's just music and the occasional blast of commercials. I was only passing through Columbia and in range of this station for about two hours but in that time I got some great classic rock including R.E.M, the Beastie Boys and even some Eurythmics. Great tunes and a nice way to pass a few miles of I-77 and I-26 as you pass through the Columbia area.

I like the no live dj but the pre recordings about Steve are just plain annoying and unfunny period. Since I've ditched my satellite radio I have been more prone to listen to 92.1 the palm as it features some local musicians and info about what's going on in Columbia and the surrounding area. No Steve FM for me !

Years ago, when I had time, I was a shortwave radio listener. Also, when I was able, I would catch out-of-state radio stations when I placed long-distance calls and I'd get the "music on hold." Over many years, I've amassed an extensive collection of radio promotional materials. WKDK (1240-AM) now has a bookmark on my computer, so I can listen live. Right now, I'm listening to Sixties oldies (Sonny & Cher's "I Got You, Babe," to be exact), and it reminds me of the late, great KRLA. www.wkdk.com

Not an especially powerful station but they were perfectly good in the area they serve, which is the Greenville-Greer metro area. The station is playing adult contemporary which seems to include Matchbox 20, Dan + Shay, Carly Rae Jepsen (gee, what ever happened to her?), the Eurythmics, Genesis. Not quite top 40 and not quite classic rock. It was good for about two hours. [Review 17318 overall - 892 in South Carolina - 836 of 2022.]
