Magic 98.9 is part of the Audacy radio network and I caught them as I drove along I-85 somewhere between Charlotte North Carolina and Atlanta Georgia. Not an especially powerful station but they were perfectly good in the area they serve, which is the Greenville-Greer metro area. The station is playing adult contemporary which seems to include Matchbox 20, Dan + Shay, Carly Rae Jepsen (gee, what ever happened to her?), the Eurythmics, Genesis. Not quite top 40 and not quite classic rock. It was good for about two hours. [Review 17318 overall - 892 in South Carolina - 836 of 2022.] read more

You do a little dance and then you drink a little water. - Give It Away Now, Red Hot Chili Peppers Stuck in some traffic and bored of my downloaded podcasts, I turned on the terrestrial radio and after a few taps of the "seek" button, it landed on 93.3 WTPT where it stayed while I was in the area. Rock and roll that worked well to dispel my boredom. Creed, Motley Crue, Imagine Dragons, Soundgarden and Stone Temple Pilots. Not quite classic rock and not modern rock either. What would you call this? Yes, they're part of the Audacy network and they'd like you to know that you can get this station to play on your smart device if only you'd ask it to play.
