My son suffered a serious tibial tubercle avulsion fracture in July that required emergency…read moresurgery, and his recovery has been extraordinary. I truly believe so much of that progress is the result of the care, attention, and expertise he has received at CNMR. I especially want to recognize Jonathan M. Kula and our physical therapist Megan Hartnett. Jonathan's assessment was incredibly thorough and thoughtful. I reached out after calling several places but wasn't getting my questions answered. I left a message and Jonathan called back within an hour. He made time for us to come in the next day (even though he was booked solid) and even offered to meet me and my son in front of the building in case I needed help getting into the office. He and Megan Hartnett took the time to understand my son's injury, read all of the reports, asked pertinent questions, and then proceeded to explain to us the plan and process for his recovery. His first priority was getting my son mobile and moving forward safely and confidently. That level of attention gave us tremendous reassurance during what had been a very stressful experience for our family. Megan Hartlett has been equally exceptional throughout his rehabilitation. She has approached his physical therapy with such care, patience, and skill, while also knowing when to challenge him and help him recognize how much progress he is making. Watching him regain his strength, mobility, and confidence has been remarkable. We still have a ways to go but here we are over the half way mark and I'm happy. There is a big difference between simply providing treatment and truly caring about a patient's recovery. Jonathan and Megan have made us feel that difference every step of the way. We still have more of the recovery journey ahead of us, but I wanted to take a moment now to give them both a very special shout-out and to say how grateful we are for the care my son has received. This isn't a fancy 10,000 square foot facility that looks super slick. I've been to those and nothing compares than the personal patient care. And every single person here--from the warm welcoming smile of Ms. Sharon to the other PTs I've never even met but see in passing--all have been nothing but kind, courteous and caring. This is a special practice that deserves special recognition.

But to start: He genuinely cares about his patients. Not just the one on one care for PT, but as you as a person! I get to spend an hour with him and have really good conversation along with getting excellent care. He is very "hands on" which I appreciate. He listens to your concerns. And he goes hands-on whether it be massage or be cupping. And then gives you exercises and make sure you don't leave until you understand what you have to do. I even convinced my own wife to give Jordan a try as her PT and she truly understood what I was talking about. The front office staff is always helpful and polite Every time I call she picks up immediately and it's very helpful. They take my type of insurance which would be a dealbreaker if they did not accept Blue Cross Blue Shield. Every appointment with Dr Jordan, I leave feeling heard, encouraged, and like real progress is being made. If you're looking for a PT who will treat you like a whole person and not just a case file, look no further. Highest possible recommendation! It'll be a sad day when I no longer have any PT issues. FYI, Jeanette is amazing: I emailed late on a Saturday or Sunday and she replied in no time! After a long drive from Boston, my back needed some attention (it needed attention even without a long drive!) and Dr. Liu had me bouncing out of the office 25 minutes later feeling great. As soon as I know when I will be back again (pun intended), I will schedule another appointment!

Dr. Liu and his office manager, Jeanette, truly care about their patients. That sounds like a no brainer, but in today's money hungry, slick and fast world, it is not easy to come by. I have come to Dr. Liu in severe pain at times, and it was clear that he really felt bad for me and wanted to help, which he did, consistently. At those times, I have never failed to get an appointment. Once, Dr. Liu even called me well after hours when I sent an SOS email. Who does that? Jeanette is on top of emails, often responding within minutes! It's crazy because I've gone to practices that ignore emails completely!! Another thing I love is that, unlike other chiropractors I've seen in the past, Dr. Liu is never pushy about coming back frequently. He suggests sometimes, but leaves it up to me. And believe me, my back always lets me know when it's time. Once I was stuck in Miami with severe back spasms. Urgent care gave me a steroid shot and pain meds and it didn't even touch the pain. Dr. Liu recognized the issue right away and fixed it with one adjustment!! Now I'm a believer. Great doctor, great people, great practice. Just sorry to see them being ousted from Crystal City, but they are worth traveling to anywhere. Trust me.

Paul is more than a chiropractor--he's a healer, a magician. He takes the time to listen to you, your body, and your needs. I don't require regular maintenance, but I do experience occasional flare-ups. Sorry in advance... this will be a long one. I really can't say enough great things about Dr. Paul…read more He is the best and his entire goal is to make sure you only need to see him once or twice a year, if that. I have been going to a chiropractor to relieve chronic neck and back pain for years - since I was in my 20s and it always consisted of 3 appointments a week for 5/10 min with those electromagnetic pads... you know the routine. With Dr. Paul, he spends 30 min or an hour on you depending on how much time he needs, and he works on you from head to toe. I used to have chronic neck and shoulder pain but I have not experienced that type of pain since seeing him. If I do have pain, I may see him once a year. he also pads his appts with 15 minutes of time in between just for free touch ups! I have sent every client, friend and family member to him. He is a miracle worker and I would gladly pay out of pocket for that kind of care, even with insurance. It's worth EVERY CENT- although you can absolutely submit to your insurance for reimbursement! My husband was on of the biggest skeptics when I first told him about Dr Paul. It took at least one or two years before he actually went bc I paid for the appt in advance. But after just one visit, he became Dr. Paul's biggest fan. I also brought a good friend who was dealing with chronic hip pain for at least a year or two after a fall. She was scared to go but after nagging her for a couple years, she finally went and Dr. Paul fixed her in one visit. Granted she is still scared to go to any chiropractor but I am sure if she felt bad, he would be the first person she thinks of. I feel we are so lucky to be in Alexandria and have access to him, but I know people travel in from all over to see him bc he really is the best. I can go on and on but I think you get the hint. I couldn't believe he even had any (less than) 5 star reviews, but after reading them, it made me so sad for those 1 or 2 people. The reviews are clearly not even close to being accurate.
