It has familiar staff who are very helpful and chatty. The shop sells sweets, newspapers, cards, drinks, cigarettes and a few other nick nacks! They do a newspaper delivery service which is reasonably priced and reliable( I get my paper delivery from them). The shop has hardly changed since I was a little girl and that familiarity is a lovely thing to have in a town like Bedlington. This is such a centrally placed shop at the top end of Bedlington in the best location in town. It is popular with the school kids as it is both beside the school bus stand and also on route to several schools. It can therefore get very busy in the mornings! Prices are stabndard prices with some cheap greeting cards available. They do great mix-ups too, although as a grown up I really should curb my sweet tooth - it's a nostalgia thing!

The store sells newspapers and magazines as well as sweets, snacks, drinks and many other items commonly associated with newsagents. The store is small with a dark facade. The front is organised, clean and neat but quite busy with displays and stock. Inside the displays are clean and neat and are always well stocked. It is easy to get to anything you need and there is always a staff member within reach. The displays are organised in a logical fashion with everything visible and in order. Price-wise it matches and does not exceed other similar businesses in the area. I find the staff helpful and chatty and they always hover around should you need any assistance!

There is always a lot of new stock: they sell all things expected of this type of store, newspapers and magazines, sweets, smokers products, some essential household items and assorted others! There is a wide range of sweets for kids to get excited about! The staff are really competent here and do a great job running a busy store. They are also friendly and have great inerpersonal skills, so much so you feel like you really know them well when you visit the store.

It is really well priced and you can buy some fresh food from it although with a sainsbury local across the street, the varity at Mace is not as good. Great newsagents though.
