I can't say enough good things about Trout Concrete. I initially hired them to remove a poorly…read moreinstalled concrete patio, but after speaking with Joshua (the owner), I decided to go a step further and have a new pea gravel patio installed along with a step under the door. I also had some brick repairs done on my retaining wall and had the driveway seal coated. Every part of the project was done with care and precision. The work was impeccable--they even worked through Memorial Day to make sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. Joshua takes immense pride in his work and it shows. He thoughtfully assessed what needed to be done and consistently went above and beyond to ensure the results not only met, but exceeded my expectations. After a previous bad experience and almost being scammed by another so-called "contractor," I was understandably cautious. I asked a lot of questions--so many that I even annoyed myself! But Joshua answered each one with patience, professionalism, and kindness. His passion for his work is obvious, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing I was in good hands. If you're looking for a contractor who delivers high-quality results, values your satisfaction, and truly takes pride in their craft, look no further than Trout Concrete. Don't hesitate--they are prompt, thorough, and genuinely committed to doing the job right. I absolutely plan to work with Joshua and Trout Concrete again. Next up: repointing my steps and possibly creating a new path in the yard!

It was supposed to take 2 weeks. It took him 3 months. I would not recommend him. I don't think he's ready to start his business yet. The one loyal worker that worked with him. Martise was very nice. Josh was rude to him at times mortise work very hard. Josh would go off for hours saying that he was getting supplies and would come back. Hours later, only to sit down to get on his phone. Some of the work he did. I was happy with at first but towards the end, he got sloppy things that I asked them to do. He wanted to do his way, and that's what the customer wanted. I paid him a lot of money, never late when he asked for money, he said in his contract. He wanted the money when jot was completed. When he got money before the job was completed. And I'm still not happy. I tried to be patient with him. Knowing that things do come up things do happen, but he took advantage of my kindness. He left electrical wires exposed in the rain and told me that it would be okay, really. The amount of money that I paid him. I should have been satisfied. I think not.

UPDATE 5/4: After posting my original review, Chris reached out immediately to fix up the remaining…read morework. Updated my review to 4 stars predicated on this. I had a patio installed by Chris' team of contingent workers in October 2022. The patio itself is lovely. However, they left the rest of my home in such a complete state of disarray that I've since had to hire alternate businesses to clean up their mess since Chris stopped responding to my messages in November 2022. Their machinery left enormous track marks that were never reseeded in the front of my yard. This machinery also disrupted an existing stretch of patio, which was left completely uneven and partially buried into the ground from the weight of the machine; Chris promised would be fixed that day (October), but again, stopped responding to my messages after over a month of asking. The contract included reseeding any area around the patio where grass was removed, presumably including the additional tire tracks in my backyard, and Chris refused to deploy anyone citing all members of his team as having COVID; he also mentioned that my dogs would prevent the grass from growing since they would dig and urinate in those areas, adding to his hesitation in fixing the gaps in the yard that his machines left. Clearly, other customers have been serviced since, so he has no intention of making good on the contract. His workers left trash from their lunch all over the backyard, which I immediately brought up to him as well. Best of luck to those of you who want to try this service out and not have the rest of your yard destroyed in the process.
