That is not to say that the selection and service in here is in anyway not top drawer. Well, top drawer is maybe a bit of a stretch. The store is always clean and tidy, the staff are always friendly and helpful and you can usually find everything you need in here if you are popping in for a pint or milk or a loaf of bread. There is good parking here and an ATM which is always handy. It is also in a good location, with excellent access to the Belfast and Newtownards roads. There is certainly no real reason not to call in here. You won't be able to do a full weeks shop in here, you will need to go to Tesco or whatever for that but you certainly will be able to get plenty of what you need in this wee shop.

This express store offers liquors, snack cakes and sundry. Locals shop here, but to an American it would probably seem small for a supermarket. The lines aren't too long, and I run in for the odd pack of gum or sweets. The prices are competitive, and they offer teas and coffee vended drinks.

Even though this is supposed to be the 'essentials', the shelves are often empty and the security man at the door makes you feel like you are shoplifting even though you aren't. Chances are what you want isn't in this shop. It's a mish mash of bits and pieces, but it simply isn't good enough. This wee convenience store has it all and serves local office workers to perfection. Whether you're looking for a pastry of a paper Today's Express will stock it. Food wise you can also get sandwiches and other breakfast goods. A bacon bap is only £1.20. The staff are great, you always get a wee bit of early morning banter out of them to kick start your day. An awesome wee shop with absolutely no faults - centrally located and serving food from £1 - what's not to like?

This Centra is the future of convenience stores. It has everything you could ever want and more!…read more There's a hot deli, with a pick your own meat session serving wings (of three varieties) and ribs. There's also a salad bar with all sorts of delights you can put together yourself. I actually purchased a pre made Ceaser salad and it was every bit as fresh as the food at the pick your own stations and relatively cheap at £4. They also have a dedicated barista serving coffee. There's four contactless tills in action meaning you can pop in for a quick bite and be on your way. But if you don't want to buy and run you can also sit in and take advantage of the free wifi and comfortable seating. Location wise it's great, just at the edge of The Cathedral Quarter and within walking distance to Belfast Met. Top marks from me.

They had a huge variety of prepared sandwiches for a quick bite, soda and bottles of liquor for a wee sip. Hot cups of coffee, lattes and tea on tap from a clean vending area all day. And snacks galore! Any junk food you had a taste for, and new ones to try, you could get it here. The store is bright and the aisle were wide. They didn't have my favorite Volcanic Unflavored Water here, but they had many other items to try.

Now I know not to expect Boojum quality but if would be perfectly reasonable to expect something advertised as a "Taco Chip" to be a chip with salsa or at the very least a salsa-like taco sauce. What is absolutely not acceptable is for it to be a chip slathered in a cloying, creamy, mayonnaise-like substance which just happens to contain some spice.
