There are several safety hazards in both early preschool & preschool playgrounds, as well as multiple blind spots that make it challenging to adequately supervise children. Placement of thick plastic barriers has caused numerous children to trip & fall, leaving us puzzled about their purpose. My son experienced a significant chin injury when he fell from a slide, resulting in a deep cut that required 4 stitches. Medical treatment cost us $1000. It is distressing that other children continue to fall & trip due to insufficient supervision. Luckily my son did not fell on his teeth and eyes. This all happened since there was no teacher monitoring on the playground. Several times we found bruises on his back and arms which eventually turned black in few days. It hurted badly but no incident was reported to us. We reported the safety hazard issues to Georgia's Department of Early Care and Learning but still no action was taken by management. Somehow my son was made a target since Feb 2023 ever since nnew management took over, coinciding with Mrs. Rachana's arrival in the preschool-1 class. Mrs. Rachana's conduct has been consistently rude & unprofessional often involving her shouting at children. Our conversations with other parents & teachers have revealed that they share same sentiments. While Mrs. Rachana provides false feedback directly to parents, her communication with management differs significantly. Her bossy behavior has led to several teachers leaving daycare or requesting transfers to different classes. Despite claiming to have several years of daycare experience, Mrs. Rachana lacks practical skills, genuine care, & compassion for children. She does not actively participate in essential caregiving tasks such as changing diapers, yet she asserts her role as lead teacher, leaving a single teacher responsible for managing entire preschool class. As a result, children with soiled diapers or accidents may have to wait longer for assistance due to limited staffing. excessive workload has led to other good teachers leaving preschool. My 3yr old son was subjected to mistreatment, & he frequently complained about pain in his arms & shoulders. When questioned, he revealed that Mrs. Rachana had forcefully pulled his hand, causing injury. Her constant nagging & belittling of my son resulted in his feeling sad & lonely, gradually slipping into a state of depression due to her harsh & unsympathetic behavior. Additionally, she submitted a biased assessment of my son, providing negative feedback based on irrelevant & nonsensical questions. assessment itself raises doubts, as it includes queries about a child's sleep duration within a 24-hour period & whether child enjoys hugs or cuddles. Mrs. Rachana failed to apply common sense to these questions, as my son has always been affectionate towards his teachers & friends, a fact confirmed by other teachers. assessment contained several other irrelevant & nonsensical questions. Mrs. Rachana fabricated complaints about my son's behavior, such as biting, self-harming, purposefully damaging objects, & prolonged tantrums. However, we have never witnessed such behavior at home or in other environments. It seems that Mrs. Rachana is only holding her position to receive a discount on fees, as her own children attend same daycare. In terms of incident management, the Primrose School of Cumming West daycare lacks proficiency. They do not promptly report injuries and take at least an hour to notify parents. In my son's case, he was bleeding for 15 minutes, and they failed to contact us promptly, demonstrating poor handling of such situations. Ever since new management took over, there have been negative changes. They have increased weekly & registration fees while reducing number of hours. Several competent teachers have been let go, while questionable teachers like Mrs. Rachana are retained. Before my son's last day at daycare, we had a meeting with Mrs. Rachana & Ms. Anu. Mrs. Rachana changed her answers & portrayed herself as innocent, pretending to be genuinely concerned about children. Ms. Anu expressed a lack of concern for my son attending daycare, stating that there were already 100 kids on waiting list. Greedy & unprofessional!

That alone should tell you how much is being hidden. There is a pattern of staff protecting each other, covering up situations, and ignoring the safety and emotional well‑being of the kids. The entire office staff, along with the family members they've placed in positions there, desperately needs to be replaced. Their lack of patience and compassion--especially toward children with disabilities--is unacceptable. If your child is nonverbal, I strongly urge you not to enroll them here. They monitor these reviews, and that's fine. Something has to change, because these children deserve better. If you want to understand why so many parents are speaking out, search online for complaints about "magic years of learning." The truth is out there, and it's disturbing.

She attended for 8 months with Ms. Christina before transitioning to Pre-K, and it was such a great experience for her. I received pictures throughout the day and daily reports at pick-up, which gave me so much peace of mind. I was 7 months pregnant and they wouldn't help/ offer to take the boys to the car so I would have to carry both boys out to my car. They claimed they couldn't assist in taking the children out even knowing how hard it was on me. I had to bring my mother to help. As we continued to pick the boys up we always dealt with rude attitudes from the assistants in there crawler room they were in. I was very excited to start them at this daycare, but as time went on I changed my mind. One day, after my children were returning to the daycare after contracting hand food and mouth from this place, I texted the teacher after my kids had been out for over a week asking how the twins were doing and she stated "they are fine, you don't need to text me every day asking about them, I will text you if there is a problem" I thought this was very rude and disrespectful as a mother who just had two sick babies out and is asking for an update on how they were getting back acclimated with being back after since they were out over a week. It was about a week after that I pulled them out. I am not one to be knit picky about stuff and understand teachers are busy but this was uncalled for. I've been very happy with the overall quality of the program, the caregiver-to-child ratio, and the professionalism of the staff. Many of the parents who work at NGHS transferred their children here when the NGHS childcare center closed, which to me is a vote of confidence. In particular, Miss Shanice and Miss Christy have been taking good care of my son, who's been dealing with some separation anxiety after a stressful move. They receive several meals and are checked routinely for wet or dirty diapers. If an accident (even minor), they fill out a form describing the incident, which brings me a lot of peace of mind. In addition, there are multiple security cameras and a unique access code for each parent. I'm very pleased. Great job Tasha and Susan!

We popped in to this new school just this week and my child and I overheard the owner yelling at the teachers like I've never heard before! My Lord it was horrible and startled my child! We turned around and left as fast as possible and when I got to my car I asked the lady next to me if she knew anything about the school, all she said was she was told the director quit. Well no surprise! When my child got in the car she told me that she didn't want to go to the mad school. Are ya kidding me! It took me a long time to get her to want to go to school and this happens? Be careful mamas! Over the phone the owner was the kindest thing then seeing her treat people in that manner makes me wonder how long her teachers will be there.

worst daycare the don't sanitize , my toddler caught with…read moretoo many sickness once he started this facility. the front desk people has no concern or respect towards parents . they look down on us. i see all the kids in my sons class room with runny nose , the Teachers don't clean it, kids wipe it all over their clothes and face, they touch and wipe it on toys (easy way to spread the germs) . that class room always has foul smell in it, I doubt that they sanitize the classroom and toys . my son had sickness with high fever and cold wheezing all the time. We went to pediatrician more than 4 times every month when he was there. As a conclusion, it's like paying to get sickness and meeting disrespectfu/ignoring people. i blame myself to choose this facility. Their summer school camp is really excellent with a lot of activities for the kids. my only complaint is the car-rider lane situation. they have 2 car rider lanes but don't use either of them the way they are meant to be. they allow parents to pull up in the lanes but they require you to walk your child in and sign them in. this creates a backlog of cars in the morning for PreK and the afternoon pickup and has become quite dangerous for the little ones and their parents weaving in and out of cars in the lane to get into the school. It's also very inconvenient for the parents as it takes more time and creates more separation anxiety for the kids at being dropped off. i recommend to institute a real car rider lane with decals and a staff member or 2 getting the kids out of the car and taking them inside.

We came across Pinecrest Academy. The minute we drove onto the campus for our tour I knew "this is it"! There was such a sense of peace within all the beauty that the campus has. We met with Mrs. Margaret Frain. She was so lovely, and you could truly feel her love for the school through her tour and presentation. Well, the rest is history. We have been here for 3 years (going on an upcoming 4) and also have our youngest starting this year. Pinecrest has been an absolute blessing. The teachers and faculty are wonderful, the staff is caring, you become a part of the Pinecrest community the minute you begin. I could not have asked for a better experience for my children and for our family. We have seen our oldest daughter flourish in academics as well as in our faith, and look forward to the same for our youngest!
