Excellent. Evenings menu brought on a large blackboard. Just enough choices to make you feel that everything would be specially prepared for you. All had starters which were fine. Soup was especially good. Between the 4 of us we had steaks, sausage and mash and a chicken and gammon pie. All good. Two of us then had a mixed fruit brûlée. With drinks, beer, whiskeys and wine we spent £25 per head which we think was good value. Service good and hosts pleasant and attentive when required. Definitely a pub we will go back to. Have a feeling that not many people know it's there as it was quiet for a Saturday night.
