When my son first started Taekwondo, his dad wasn't sure he was ready. Even putting on his shoes…read morecould turn into a screaming, crying meltdown, and at first he thought class was a playground. He could be difficult in class, but the instructors Ms Hannah, Mr Hunter, Mr Mark never gave up on him. Their patience and encouragement have meant so much to our family. While we were facing months-long wait for occupational therapy, I felt helpless. This academy gave him a supportive place to practice focus, build confidence, and learn leadership and proper manners. In just three months, without any therapy we've seen a change/ transformation that once felt out of reach. My four year old wakes up on his own, makes his bed, gets dressed, and puts on his shoes by himself. His first time breaking a board was a huge "wow" moment. Then he broke a real wooden board, and his face lit up like Christmas. You could see the confidence it gave him. He'd also had frightening experiences with older kids pushing him on playgrounds, and he became afraid of them crying just at the sight of them. At the academy, the older students help and encourage the younger ones, which has helped him feel safer around them. He genuinely enjoys going to class. There are many martial arts academies out there, but this one feels like home. They provide such a valuable service to our community, and I love how this academy has helped our whole family grow. I'm so thankful for the patience they've shown my son and for giving him a place to feel capable, work hard, and celebrate what he can do.

This mcdojo is a predominate kids school that don't look certified for the belt they currently have. Very unorganized as well. Sparring days are a toss up you don't know when it will be. If you go to this school your process of being a good fighter will be stagnant. Theirs no air conditioning your going to sweat while you have kids over your shoulder saying that person is so sweaty. Black belts don't fight like black belts as well. It's a joke if your a kid you can go due to how cheap this school is. 90 dollars. He and all of the students want to see you grow to your fullest potential. Of course, all of this depends on you and how you apply yourself. I've had a mixed experience at this Crunch location. The staff is genuinely friendly, and the…read morerecent remodel looks beautiful -- bright, clean, and definitely more inviting than before. The equipment layout feels more open, and the whole place has a fresh vibe. The only downside is that some of the juvenile clients can make the environment a little annoying at times, especially during peak hours. It doesn't ruin the gym, but it does take away from the overall experience. Overall, it's a solid gym with great staff and a gorgeous update -- just be prepared for the occasional immature crowd. --- Cute Copy‑and‑Paste Icons for Yelp (These all display cleanly on Yelp) ‍ ‍

I went in and was signed up by Daniel. First red flag "oh we only withdraw straight from a bank account so no debit or credit cards. We need your routing and account number". Then he has me sign a few places and it was supposed to be 9.99 monthly. I get a copy of the contract via email and it says the amount with tax added, ok that's fine but then another 2 dollar fee after that each month. Next I see on the contract that you can use a credit or debit card. Long story short, I go back in the next day to cancel because I have a "3 day right to cancel". Good ol Daniel is back at the desk. I tell him I want to cancel. I don't even get into why because it won't change his scummy practices. He says it's cancelled and I will receive an email within 20 minutes. No email after 2 hours. I go back, this time I get Nir, he tells me "it shows cancelled in my computer look you can see right now" I say "I want an email or print out, I don't trust you all". He sends me an email, said I should get it shortly. I get the email that shows my account frozen until December but not cancelled!!! At this point I'm pissed off because if I didn't push it, I would be stuck in a contract because the 3 day would be up. I show it to him he says "it was a mistake, I am the general manager, I assumed he (Daniel) did it right. He then sends me another email that finally shows it as cancelled. They did everything they could to lock me into a contract and I'm sure they do this all the time!!! I don't care if I never find another sauna, Crunch Will NEVER get my business again.
