I had a White and Reid concrete worktop fitted in my kitchen a few years ago and regretted it almost immediately. The work was carried out on time and the people involved were very nice, but the product is poor to say the least. The surface is damaged by the slightest spillage - water, oil, anything - and is impossible to clean properly. It now looks really tatty and oh, how I wish I'd fitted resin or granite. I asked W&R to come back and have a look at the surface to see if they could do anything about its under-performance, and was offered a call-out service for a sum approaching £200 (I can't remember how much exactly).
