Disingenuous, Cavalier and Indifferent.
My experience with Dr Elizabeth Geisler was not a pleasant one. I went to see her as I had an infected molar and it needed root canal treatment. One $210 consultation later she advised that she could treat the tooth, but there was a possibility that if the tooth was cracked, she would not be able to help. Fair enough, but when I booked, I asked specifically about the likelihood of a good outcome and was assured that 'Dr Elizabeth Geisler would not proceed unless she was fully confident'.
On the day of treatment, I endured the procedure with Dr Geisler indifferently gossiping over me to her assistant about their holiday shopping, and how she got a great deal on a Dyson, only then to be told casually that the tooth could not be saved and I would have to have it removed. At this point it became clear to me that Dr Geisler had been disingenuous, in fact she had little hope that she could save the tooth. That what I thought was a possibility was to her a probability. She put me through an expensive and unpleasant procedure for nothing. Worse than that, as an experienced professional she would have had a very good idea of the outcome, but continued to do it right before the holidays, leaving my molar ground down, in a weakened state and at a time I would have to wait some weeks before I could have it removed. As I left, she told me not to chew on that side because the tooth could break leaving me in considerable pain. So, after $705 I am in a worse condition than when I walked through her door. read more
