My husband and I are both a bit awkward in front of a camera, and I often am not crazy about how I look in photos, but Leah did an incredible job making us feel at ease, capturing beautiful memories and really documenting the joy of the day. She also recommended several other vendors and we hired many of them-- they were all great! Really our only complaint is that we've got so many great photos that narrowing down which to frame and put in a wedding album is a challenge! 100% would recommend Leah to other couples getting married in the Smokies or Knoxville area!

She's one of the few photographers licensed to work there so that was extra helpful! Our session was just a few hours long and she was very flexible about timing and our needs. We are very pleased.

We contacted Ben at Smokey Mountain. His demeanor won us over and we took a chance and booked a session. The chance paid off! We explained our tight schedule and desires to Ben and our location on the lake. Ben visited the marina our boat would be docked at different times of the day to scout the conditions and got back to us with the best time to meet for pics. We met at 7:30 am and it was obvious the advance work Ben had put in and it helped with the setup. He also listened to what my daughter wanted and incorporated those wishes into the session. They took pics on our boat, the dock, the marina and other spots. Through multiple locations, outfit changes and poses, Ben was a dream to work with for my daughter and us. His commitment to my daughter's pics was appreciated. We received the pictures within the timeframe Ben told us and the results were better than the session! There are so many "keepers", the pics exceeded all expectations! We'd recommend Smokey Mountain Portraits to anyone for any occasion. Thanks Ben and keep up the great work! The Newells

I was trying to find more information for a friend of mine who was going to be in the area and hasn't had family photos in a long time. I wasn't asking for anything out of the norm -- my friend and her family were visiting TN last week and I reached out a few days before they were leaving to inquire about availability, location option, and pricing. This would have been such a special moment for her and her family, but we weren't able to make it work due to the lack of response. I would have understood if it couldn't work due to timing, but we didn't have the opportunity to figure that out...

First, she was willing to do our engagement pictures at the location of our choice. She is flexible on what types of pictures she'll take and was willing to incorporate our ideas. On the day of our wedding, Katrina photographed us the entire day of our wedding and made sure that we weren't concerned about anything. The only thing we kind of wished Katrina would have done during our wedding was to take more charge of organizing people for photos. We also wish she would have taken more initiative in being creative in taking pics of just the 2 of us.
