The roots were exposed above the ground and a lot underground. Dan came by and gave us a reasonable estimate. We weren't in a hurry and he said he would find an available time in the near future. He showed up a few weeks later. We did not have to call him again like we have had to do with many contractors who promise and then never show. He and his helper got the big root grinder off his trailer and started the nasty, dusty job. He spoke with me before he started going over exactly what we wanted and he made suggestions which we agreed to. Then he did exactly what we agreed to. He used protective boards to avoid sending rock and/or pieces of roots in to our house, fence, or shrubs. They cleaned up the pieces including the rocks that we have in our yard all over. He only asked for the agreed estimated price. Dan and his helper were both friendly and professional. We would certainly recommend his service to others and we would have him do any tree service we might need in the future.

He scheduled my appointment, the crew showed up on the day scheduled, and were right on time! The crew of 3 worked very hard while on site. The trees were stripped of their branches, tree rounds were then cut to size to fit my wood stove, branches were chipped, and they did an amazing job of cleaning up after themselves. That tree should have never been planted had landscapers used common sense long ago in a new subdivision, and they made other poor judgment calls like placing cheap cedar hedges between front of homes that grow monstrous tall to spawn roof moss, excessive law shade, poor street visibility, etc. dah! Vince came out, looked at my tree, gave his recommendation (we did a deep root fertilization as well) and on the day he and his team came to do the pruning, they were punctual, professional, discussed their approach before starting to work and the end result is beautiful! All the debris and even leaves that were previously on the lawns were cleaned up. Their price may be slightly higher than competitors but they are fully insured and have WorksafeBC which others do not. Others would sue you, the homeowner, if they were injured without Worksafe insurance coverage. We found it pays to hire the best, their longevity in the business is a testament to their attention to detail and taking good care of their customers. Highly recommend this family base company.
