To start let me tell you that live out of town…read more.. Me and my family drove more than 2:30 hours to come to this sale (over 5h round trip), and arrived almost 2 hours before the sale opened. So, lets say is was over 7 hours that this deal took me. I was second in line for the items we came for. Only one person was allowed at the room where the items I wanted were. I had no chance to compete with the other person who came for the same items. The only one person allowed in the room was the first in line and grabbed all the items I came for. I would be ok if J&S does like others Estate Sales companies, where everybody has a chance, but that wasn't the case. After a few minutes (when the number 1 got everything interesting) they allowed me to come in. While I was still looking the items left, the lady who works there was hurrying me up to be done, even when the number one was still not done "shopping" in that room. Also the ladies who work at the sale started being rude to me... I closed my ears for that, I didn't want to be angry, but somebody came mention it to me later. I finally gave up, after all, everything I had interest was already taken. So, I went take a look in the rest of the house and, in about 5 minutes I walk by the room where was only allowed 1 person at a time, there were 5 people inside, besides the lady who took care of that room. Yeah... ! So, for me, this company was and is a complete waste of time, gas and sleep. I knew since the beginning this was a gamble, but, at least I thought it would be fair; I thought by getting there early I would have a chance... Ohhh boy, I was wrong! They have dumb rules to facilitate unfairness and of course they don't advertise that on the web. I know I am just one person who will not come to their sale anymore, but I can't allow myself to be quiet about it. It just felt it wasn't right.

Initially, they were communicative, professional, and seemed to do a great job managing my estate sale. Unfortunately, what happened at the end completely changed my opinion of this company. I had a very expensive bicycle that was **NOT FOR SALE**. Per the company's instructions, I covered the bicycle in blue painter's tape with multiple clearly visible labels stating "DO NOT SELL." There was absolutely no ambiguity about whether this item was supposed to be sold. On Friday evening, I moved the bicycle inside my garage for safekeeping. When I returned after the estate sale was completed, the bicycle was gone. I immediately contacted the owner, who assured me that he had spoken with his entire team and was adamant that nobody had sold the bicycle. He repeatedly maintained that no one on his team had seen or sold it. However, after reviewing my home security footage, I discovered video evidence of a customer **walking out of my home with the bicycle during the estate sale**. I sent this footage directly to the owner, clearly showing the bicycle leaving my property. His response? **Absolutely nothing.** No apology. No explanation. No attempt to locate the bicycle. No offer of reimbursement. Not even the courtesy of acknowledging the video evidence I provided. What bothers me most isn't simply that an expensive item I explicitly marked NOT FOR SALE disappeared. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What is unacceptable is the complete lack of accountability, transparency, and professionalism once the mistake was brought to their attention. If I was told with absolute certainty that my bicycle was never sold, only to discover video evidence contradicting that claim, how am I supposed to trust the accounting and handling of the rest of my belongings? An estate sale company is entrusted with people's valuable possessions, often during significant life transitions. **That trust is everything.** I gave this company every opportunity to address the situation professionally, and instead, I was met with silence. It's incredibly unfortunate because the experience started so positively. But the way a business handles problems says far more about its integrity than how it handles things when everything is going well.. **I would strongly caution anyone considering this company to carefully document their belongings, monitor their property, and understand what recourse they have if something goes wrong.** I sincerely hope the owner chooses to make this right, but as of writing this review, I have received no resolution or meaningful response.

My husband was sick with Covid and she and her husband went above and beyond the call of duty offering to clean out the refrigerators we were selling. She also bought watch batteries for all the watches we wanted to sell. Very detailed and honest. I spoke to several other Estate sale companies and no one I spoke to had their act together like Tammie. All of the others only needed a 5 day set up which tells me it's more like a fire sale than an estate sale that can get the most value for your goods. Great job w pictures and communication through tout the process. Even when offers came in that she felt may be too low she at least asked me if I would be interested. My only feedback on how to help her is that if you have designer clothes let her know in advance what the price point is that you would like to target. These sales aren't designed to get too dollar value for designer clothes so be aware that clothing consignment shops may be a better avenue for high end stuff like Burberry. Otherwise expect low ball offers in some cases. She will also allow you to set a reservation price. I was happy she offered to extend our sale an extra day as we captured another $900 as a result of extending. In the end, she works with a charity organization that will take the unsold items and put them towards a good cause. Very convenient as they come to the house and pack up all the stuff you don't want to take back. I highly recommend this fantastic Estate Sale company!
