We were very fortunate to get a private tour with Rebecca as the tulip season was still early. We met Rebecca at the parking lot at the conservatory. Picked up our bikes and bikes/walked to central station. We took a train and got off at a stop I believe was maybe 15 miles from Keukenhof garden. From the station, we began our bike tour. The bike ride was a beautiful experience where we were lucky to see some full bloomed fields of hyacinth, daffodils and tulips. You can smell the flowers as you ride thru. We got to the Keukenhof garden around 11:45am and had 1.5 hours in the garden. We bought our own lunch and there are picnic areas in the garden. I suggest bring something quick to eat. We made the mistake of having a full cheese platter and didn't get to see all the pavilions in the garden. Rebecca did not join us at the garden. She got us the garden entry tickets and we met her at the entrance at 1:15pm. After the garden, we biked another 8 miles or so to Leiden train station where we took the train back to Amsterdam central. We got back to Amsterdam by 4pm. (Reason for the time constraint is because bikes are not allowed on trains 7am-9am and after 4pm-6pm). Rebecca was very accommodating all thru the trip. She took the time to tell us about the history of tulips and windmills. We definitely recommend Rebecca whenever one is in Amsterdam. read more
