He stole $10,000 from me in an attempt to defraud the worker's comp company in order to, (in his words, "cut me a better deal." I thought this man could be trusted because he proclaims to be a deacon of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He lied to me and stole from me. He never provided me with any proper accounting of the $10K he kept from my auto accident and arbitrarily changed the terms of my contingency agreement. If you don't believe me, believe his own words. I've provided screenshots on Yelp of email conversations where he acknowledged having my money and not willing to distribute it until UM settled. Problem is, they never attempted to settle my UM case. Had me waiting for years doing absolutely nothing. When I complained, I get this long drawn out lie of an excuse from Caleb B. They had my case for so many years and NEVER provided me with as much of an invoice of what $10K supposedly cost me, let alone telling me I had excess funds. I found out about the $10K from the WC attorney and for that reason I am filing an ethical complaint against Eulis S. with LADB. In my opinion and to my dismay, this man is a bona fide fraudster and honesty, it hurts me to say that because upon initially meeting him, I liked his then commitment and tenacity. They've had my case for 4 years working a $50K UM claim and haven't done anything significant. Then Caleb B threatened to drop me as a client because I'm not happy and have expressed such. After Caleb B yelled at me and I yelled right back at him, I hung up on him and opted to leave this firm....something I think they wanted because they never worked on my case in years. Eulis acknowledged and apologized for the length of time they've had this case and of course COVID took some of the blame but they've rarely stayed in touch with me. I was mainly calling them. The only so called victory they were happy about was a jurisdictional change from one parish to the next. I firmly believe they never wanted to go into litigation on a $50K contingency case that they pressured me on. I never knew anything about filing a claim against my UM policy for an accident another person caused. That auto accident case was settled for $30K. $20K was paid to WC (so they say) and Eulis pocketed the other $10K. I asked repeatedly about it and was given different answers. This is clear theft and I won't stop until they pay for what was stolen from me. What lawyer keeps your money, claim to have done work but haven't provided any evidence of said work? Only a fraudster like the disgraced lawyer Alex Murdaugh. The Bible is absolutely correct in that, the love of money is the root of all evil and it's no wonder why so many lawyers are despised.
