From the beginning, he was extremely unfriendly and made us feel as though we were an inconvenience rather than guests. Our drinks sat completely empty, and we eventually had to track him down just to ask if we could order food and have our drinks refilled. His response to us was simply, "You have 5 minutes." No apology, no explanation, and no attempt to make us feel welcome. What made this especially frustrating was that we were hosting two friends who were visiting from Germany for the first time, and we had been excited to bring them here and show them a great experience. Instead, we were embarrassed by how rudely we were treated. Hospitality is about more than bringing food and drinks to a table. Unfortunately, this experience was the opposite of hospitable and left a terrible impression on our friends during their first visit.
