I sometimes wear OTN (over the knee boots) and observe current fashion, yet I'm a Christian.
Meanwhile, my observation attending Westside for a few years is that this church embraces a welcoming atmosphere ... you won't find stodginess and outdated codes of conduct that shun or shame people or coerce them to put on a false face. Instead, you'll find authentic people whose gifts are apparent, bolstered by an obedient spirit. The people in leadership know their jobs well, and perform them with a mind to always do better, while unconditionally supporting their community members. Teaching is always thought provoking, current, scripturally sound, but has relatable and light-hearted observations about human nature that add an intelligent brand of humour, and in my personal experience in summation, are messages which lead to change and growth. Meanwhile the worship is top drawer - it's like medicine for a weary spirit that establishes new energy to kick off my week. Well-priced 60 minutes, plus free coffee.
