The return job was completed somewhat satisfactorily. When they returned to complete the job, the owner kept making statements about me updating the review to 5 stars in exchange for coming back and completing the original job. Read the 4 star review on here, as it was the same with that person as it was with us. Just like everyone elses negative reviews the Groupon is a bait and switch. They came to our house told us everything was very dirty and that everything will need to be brushed no vacuumd so our Groupon was worthless. $450 for a half done job(see pictures of AFTER the original work was done). We requested a detailed invoice of the service and when we didn't receive it I called to find out what the delay was. The person I spoke to just kept reiterating the same thing over and over. How dirty everything was and how they cleaned it and I was to prove to him where it was still dirty. Mind you he was looking at this very same review while on the phone. The last red flag that is they only take venmo AND it goes to a private individual under the name Marlene Gomez Perez. Please do not use this company.

Northwest Weatherization - Gaps big enough for critters maybe even wasps or yellow jackets

I never thought I could get soooo excited about insulation....but I am!!!…read more Northwest Weatherization came out last week and added blow-in insulation in my attic. They were easy to communicate with, fast and handled all the rebate paperwork so I didn't have to. Our 2000sf house was built in the the 50's-prior blown in insulation was between 4-7" depending on where you measured in attic. I'm the Summers, our house was an oven, Winters an icebox. No central heating: just cadet wall heaters (all new). Although we try to be as conservative as possible with heating, our electric bill jumps to about $400/month when it gets cold. (We even have new windows/doors.) The insulation was blown in on the 10th, day or so after was that first really cold day:outside thermometer said 36*F when I woke up. Went to the living room/kitchen, no heat on all night. Absolute noticeable difference: it wasn't toasty, but usually if is 36 outside, with no heat on inside, the interior temp might be 45 on a good day. Already, the interior temperature is remaining much more consistent and we are running the heat way less. We had to have a few extras done, to meet codes, but even with that, after rebates our total was just over $2600. Considering how much costs for everything have gone up, I imagine it would have been way less if I would have done this 3 years ago when I first started thinking about it. I don't know how their prices compare to others, I just wanted it done asap so I didn't shop around like I usually do. However, I'm very happy with the price, the company and the results so far. REALLY looking forward to seeing next month's bill!

I was willing to go with Northwest Weatherization on the strength of their reputation and reviews,…read moreeven though they cost more than another company I was considering. But they completely dropped the ball on my efforts to find out whether they could truly insulate my 110-year-old frame home. After coming to my home twice -- once to give an initial estimate, the second time to look what was beneath the original siding (nothing but studs, it turned out) -- they were supposed to let me know whether they could do the job, and if the price would change. They never got back to me despite several text and phone call messages to Justin, the technician for the company. So I went with the other company. Disappointed at the poor customer service.

Pacific NW Marble & Granite - Table/Prep Area Countertop.

    Pacific NW Marble & Granite

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! They do incredibly sloppy work, are extremely careless and…read morewill not cover damage caused by their installers. Also, expect to be ghosted if you're told someone will call you back to discuss issues caused by the installation team. SHORT VERSION: The installation team banged up my brand new kitchen cabinets by slamming their equipment and quartz slabs into multiple cabinets -- resulting in large dents, gashes and scratches all over the place. They also messed up the measurements for one of the pieces of quarts and got adhesive all over another cabinet. They refuse to take any responsibility for the damage they caused and will not call me back to discuss options. LONG VERSION: I purchased a kitchen through Ikea and Pacific NW Marble & Granite was their preferred installer for the countertops. Of course you're not provided with this information upfront, which makes it impossible to do any research on the company doing the actual work. If I had been able to read some reviews first, then I would have immediately jumped ship and gone with a different company, because they have a reputation for damaging customers property and refusing to take responsibility. Also, do not let them rush you through signing off on job completion before they leave. I was just told to sign and initial to confirm that the countertops were installed. He was really quick about it and rushed me through signing like he was trying to get out the door -- probably because he knew they damaged my brand new kitchen cabinets and wanted to get out before I noticed. I barely even had a chance to look at the countertops before he rushed out the door. As soon as he walked out the door I went in the kitchen to get a more thorough look at the countertops and noticed the cabinets were all dented and scratched. I immediately ran out to try and flag him down before he left and he drove off as I was running out the door waving my arms. END RESULT: Several of my brand new cabinets, which were in flawless condition right before they showed up, got dented and scratched from their equipment and from rolling and lifting the countertops. They even got glue all over one of the cabinets. I called the company right after the installers left to let them know about the damage, and they were making excuses before even seeing pics of the damage -- saying it was probably a manufacturers defect with the cabinets, which is probably the most laughable excuse I can think of. It was pretty obvious that this is a common excuse they provide for damage caused by their installers. I sent pics and of course they responded only a few minutes later with the same excuse. When I told them that is not acceptable and that I wanted to talk to someone who could make this right, I was told that a supervisor would call me back. Of course, after several weeks and numerous follow up calls, the supervisor never actually called back. This is also a pretty common theme if you read through some of the reviews on this company. They'll also tell you to call the retailer, who will only refer you back to Pacific NW Marble & Granite. You basically just end up in this infinite loop of passing off the blame. Rather than accepting responsibility like any decent company would do, or even entertaining the possibility that their installers caused damage, they rudely tried to shift the blame back on me. They clearly do not care, and the sad part is, that they don't need to care because most of their business comes from contracts through big box retailers like Lowes and Ikea. They're provided with a continuous stream of clueless customers who have no idea who will be doing the installation until after they purchase their countertops -- at which point it's too late. The customer has no recourse if they mess something up, because unlike typical contractors who take a 50% deposit upfront and then the remaining payment once the work is completed to customer satisfaction -- they are paid the full amount up front, so they could care less since they already have the full payment. So now I'm stuck having to repurchasing several cabinet doors, drawer fronts and even a full side panel due to the carelessness of their installation crew -- not to mention that one of the pieces of quartz is misaligned. This company's utter disregard for their customers and unwillingness to take ownership for their mistakes is simply pathetic. Basically, if you hire this company to do any work for you, expect them to come in and tear up your personal property and do sloppy work -- then flip you the bird when you ask them to make it right. My recommendation to anyone who is considering doing business with Pacific NW Marble & Granite is to run away as fast as you can. Find a different company with a consistent track record of customer satisfaction, and do not pay any money without doing research on the actual installer.

We purchased our counter via Ikea with PNW Marble & Granite where the stone would come from and who…read morewould do the installation. When the gentleman came out to do the measurements he did so with a laser. At the time he commented how he missed the stick method but everything was moving to computers. Over 4 weeks later when the install team arrived, 3 out of the pieces were found to be cut incorrectly. The installed our 2 island pieces but had to take back the 3 pieces that were our L shaped counter/sink section. The sink cut out didn't match what we had and the seam on the longer stretch wasn't sitting on the cabinet joints. As these are Ikea cabinets, it is known that joint NEED to be at cabinet seams since there are only 2 very thin, weak braces holding the cabinets square...and this company REGULARLY works with Ikea counter installs. The install team made new stick templates, making note of where seams needed to be. Jennifer them told them to let us know we were looking at 4 weeks for them to get new stone in. As we are hosting a 60th birthday party here in the 26th, that was not acceptable. We called Ikea and magically they could be out in 4 days with the new pieces. Install team arrives here today and the sink piece is perfect...HOWEVER, the other 2 pieces are the same pieces they had last time, which means the seam has not been recut to lay on the cabinet joints. When I called Jennifer back I was given an excuse that the glue will be enough to hold it, and that if we refuse installation, they will call Ikea and let them know we refused a good install. She KNOWS we are in a position with the party so they are doing an install that WILL fail. I've let Ikea local know AND I've called Ikea Corporate. This company should be removed as a preferred installer for them. The local install fellas have been excellent, but Jennifer and the "Lead Installer" are shysters.

From the moment I booked the appointment, the communication was clear, friendly, and everything ran like clockwork. Technician Dane Shepherd arrived right on time with his a friendly smile and a handshake that immediately put me at ease. As a former service electronics technician myself, I truly appreciated watching a pro at work. Dane thoroughly diagnosed my HVAC system - testing the 24VAC to the gas valve, checking ohm resistance on the high-limit switch, flame sensor and inspecting the HSI igniter, measuring air/heat ratios, and verified the in the house heat vents blowing 112F of air. Along with a long list of additional tests. His attention to detail and systematic approach were outstanding. Dane was not only highly skilled but also polite, patient, and happy to explain what he was doing every step of the way. The work was completed perfectly, and my system is running smooth and better. Revival Heating & Cooling has earned me a customer for life. If you want honest, knowledgeable, and top-tier service from a company that truly cares, look no further. The water heater was installed 2 1/2 years ago by Rivival Heating and the anode rod needed to be replaced because "Portland water is so hard and full of minerals". The original quote for labor alone (not covered under warranty) was $340 but we got the manager to bring it down to $250. Still, the water heater is only 2 1/2 years old and that was an expense we did not anticipate when we bought the water heater. The prior one was not broken but when we had Rivival replace our furnace, they strongly suggested replacing the water heater at the same time. The old one never produced brown water but after just two years, the new one did. Maybe the water heater wasn't as good as the previous one? Not sure... Forgot to add, my home warranty service said they could not reimburse me because this is a "warranty issue". And to be truthful, the furnace job was great! Just wish the water heater repair didn't cost me anything. Next year, when it is out of warranty, I'll be able to file for reimbursement from my home warranty provider.
