This Dentist office staff is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. Went in for a consultation and some X rays. I was told they were going to call for Insurance Authorization for needed work and would call me within 5 days with the information. After a week had past,called office,left a message to please call and give me a status on future treatment and cost. Never received a returned call. Well,after now month and a half I called.The front desk woman which was the same as before,said there had been NO called made to my insurance Company for estimate coverage.I was then suddenly cut off in middle of the conversation,so called back.She gave me a outrages price on my denture work needed .I asked why nobody had reached out to me and why my dental Insurance had not been contacted.She answered rudely I was welcome to come in for ANOTHER consultation ! Was not going to discuss anything more with her because she has no clue what she is doing and clearly did not want to take any responsibility for their lack of follow up with me.She is absolutely INCOMPETENT and rude. Dr. Hazany has been my dentist since about 2020. I have a terrible history for returning to see a dentist. Mostly due to pain and PTSD type of issues from childhood torture! He was so wonderful. I had gingivitis before I ever came to him. It requires frequent cleanings and he has also done a root canal and crown. All the work was top notch. I have had several awesome dentists and he stands right with them. No pain, his work lasts. He doesn't do work if it's not required. I totally trust his opinion. His assistants are also the best. It's unfortunate that a dentist might be good at an office but they have poor management at the front desk which ruins an experience before an exam can take place. Please replace your awfully rude and incompetent and inconsiderate receptionist before it's too late. I went in last week for a first time appointment to do an impression of my teeth for a sleep apnea mouth guard and both receptionist and the dental assistant were very friendly and accommodating to me. Since the VA Hospital was paying for it, the receptionist told me not to worry about calling the VA, that she would do it for me! Both the dentist and the assistant were very patient with me when they were doing the x-rays (I have issues with taking them). I needed a dental appliance I had never even heard of. I got in and didn't have to spend an hour waiting to be seen. No nonsense treatment here was highly appreciated. I've always hated going to the dentist, but this clinic is different. I only had three appointments and was not told I need 3-4 more appointments for cleanings, exams, and other stuff. I would go to them for other services too. Only downside is parking, but even that wasn't a problem, just a little tight. A good experience overall. read more

When I reached their office, the lady at the front desk made me fill out all the paperwork and made copies of my increase and ID, and then she said she didn't know what se was doing, so I wasn't supposed to be there, and they couldn't transfer me. I usually review on google, so I forgot to do one on here! I was having issues getting together enough to afford a MUCH needed root canal, crown, post, that was causing infections and pain, and they were able to help me out with payment plans and options, apply to get Medi-cal to pay a little bit, too, and offer other aid, too. It was really great... and unfortunately it broke a month later due to something faulty with the resin or because of a hard shell in a granola bar... regardless the doctor fixed it free of charge cause it was well within time it shouldn't have broken! I've gotten a lot of great service and help from these people, they are great! I came in with many infections over a several month period, and they gave me antibiotics to deal with it while I was saving money for the root canal. Highly would recommend them. read more

Where to start, Dr Hazany is amazing! He is so personable and communicative with his patients. As soon as you walk in everyone greets you with hello and asks you how you're doing! I went in today because my birthday is in a few days and I've had previous orthodontic work, I had a small gap I wanted to fill in and Dr Hazany and his assistant Doina were amazing! Always meticulous work by Dr. Hazany at Westside Dental. He's a very caring doctor, is clearly passionate about what he does, and has an amazing staff & dental hygienist. I have been going to Dr. Robert Hazany's office since I was 12. I chipped my front tooth when I was really young and after braces and a root canal from previous dentists, my front tooth was very discolored. Dr. Hazany did an excellent job fixing my teeth, he whitened them, and eventually put veneers on my two front teeth. My parents could not afford any of the procedures or even dental insurance at the time, but he still did the BEST job on my teeth while giving us a huge discount. I get compliments on my smile all the time. He really cares about the well-being and satisfaction of his patients and is willing to do exceptional work, regardless of your financial situation- he will work with you. I made the mistake of going to different dentists in college after moving out of the area, and I really regretted it because I have never come across a dentist as honest and trustworthy as him. He is transparent, and will never ever recommend something unnecessary for the sake of making money (which is what a lot of dentists have tried to do in my experience.) No doubt the best overall experience I've ever had at a dentist's office. Imagine how insanely excited I am to be the first reviewer for this terrible place. It was my first time there, and the receptionist was particularly accommodating - more so than most other receptionists I've encountered. He asked my mother (who's also a receptionist for a dentist) how much it was for deep cleaning at her dentist's. My mom asked him why he didn't just get it here - he shrugged, smiled, and looked away. Strike one. They took x-rays and let me know that I have a crossbite, and that I needed Invisalign, stat. Oh, and they'd be happy to give us a $100 discount on the $200 of cavities that I've accumulated. I brush my teeth regularly and I've had braces and a retainer for years. And my two previous dentists didn't tell me a single thing about this supposed "crossbite." Strike two. And the kicker of it all? I spent 40 minutes one of those godawful chairs waiting for my cleaning. As the hygienist (not the dentist!) cleaned another woman's teeth. The only saving grace of this place was how sweet the hygienist and receptionist were. As for the dentist...I didn't even catch his name. Or a glimpse of him. read more

Visited this place for a loose crown and the Dentist said, "After looking at your x-ray, it's loose but I'd like to replace this from a crown to an implant. It's $4,800 without insurance and $3,000 WITH insurance but, don't worry, I'll give you a discount." Perplexed, I asked him "So, it's not broken, it's just loose? Can't you just recement this? I have insurance and if I don't want to pay $3,000 what are my other options?" The Dentist told me, "You have no other option. I'd like to replace it with an implant." Shocked and worried, I told him I would take a look at my finances and get back to him. I requested for a treatment plan and they gave me a post-it note that stated what HE wanted to do. With disbelief, I called my insurance carrier and asked if I can get a second opinion and shared my experience. My insurance company requested for a treatment plan and X-ray and they decided to grant my request for a new Dentist. I understand that they are for-profit but, my experience was just ridiculous! I've had a series of good visits here -- I've had dental work done at Westside, and so have my three kids. The office isn't super luxurious, but it's comfortable enough. The staff is considerate, I rarely have to wait very long, and the care is very good. I especially appreciate being told how much I'll need to spend on fillings ahead of time, and the amount of time the dentist takes to explain each procedure. Overall, this isn't a flashy place but it gets the job done well, without waiting, without dodging costs or evading questions. It gets all the big stuff right. read more

Stay away from this Dentist. I am super late for this review because my experience was few years back when I didn't really use Yelp and when I started I had forgotten about it. Today I saw this dentist's office when I was on my way to see my friend and old memories came back, which I will never forget in my whole life. I went to see this dentist and he basically told me I need multiple fillings, crowns, and I had some tooth decay. Then he gave me two options for the treatment, one was taking out my whole gum, cleaning it and putting it back, which he quoted to around $100,000 (no I am not kidding). Second option was only $6000 because he was just going to inject antibiotics in my gum, do deep cleaning, and rest of the work. I was scared, confused, and almost cried. I shared my experience with one of my co-workers at that time who recommended me to go see his dentist in Beverly Hills for second opinion. I told the person I can't even imagine that because I won't be able to afford it. But the person told me it's going to cost me $80 and I will know exactly what's wrong with no false diagnosis or rip off. So, with not many options I went to Beverly Hills and saw the dentist, who happened to be formal president of California Dental Board. I told her my story, my experience, and everything in detail. After hearing me she felt so sad for me that she did my whole mouth x-rays for free because I had told her I can't afford to pay her for anything except that $80. She also told me that the full mouth x-rays I had brought with me was incomplete (got ripped off there too). When she looked at my full mouth x-rays she had taken, she got furious with other dentist. She told me he was going to butcher me because I had no teeth decay, didn't need a single crown, or multiple major fillings except couple of smaller than pea sized fillings. She told me all I needed was some few deep cleanings in couple of weeks apart so that my swollen gums would get better with each cleaning to a point where my gums would be healthy again without no swelling or bleeding. However, I mentioned her I very much appreciated her help and sympathy but still wouldn't be able to afford her. She gave me 50% discount for the whole treatment (which was close to $800) and told me I can pay whatever I can every month. I paid around $50 every month until I paid everything off. She didn't just save me from being butchered but she saved me from all the emotional trauma I was going through because I felt like I couldn't trust anyone to get better. The only good thing I unintentionally got out of this guy is, because of him I ended up meeting with such an amazing dentist/individual who saved me from his butchering and emotional trauma. All these years and I still remember the horrible experience so decided to share it with you all today. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this butcher and wherever you go always get second or third opinion before settling with a dentist for any kind of treatment. It's not easy and really important to find a dentist you can trust because you he or she will be treating one of your body's most sensitive part. read more
