I had a horrible encounter with Extra Storage that led me to Westpointe! The family that owns the place are good people! I was very reluctant to Rent-A space due to the previous reviews tied to the business. However, I also acknowledge that these reviews are all years old so I took a chance. I walked in the door and I came out with the storage space I was treated fair and just I was treated with respect I was given clear instructions and great customer service. Chip has definitely calmed down compared to the post and reviews. I read earlier. Chip was a stellar gentleman in my opinion, the rest of the family followed suit. Wish to give no stars. Their auto payment system was not working and they gave me possible excuses of why they didn't take my scheduled payment. I told the guy to process the payment again and still gave me an excuse. Saying that their is something wrong with my card. Three days later he charged me $40 for late fee on the same card they he swore he could not use the make my payment. I am so upset of his unprofessional actions that I cancel my account with them and now using Public Storage across the highway. Such a rip off business. read more

Chip is the biggest tool I've ever encountered as far as customer service. Do yourself a favor and completely avoid doing any business whatsoever here. He had an attitude from the moment I walked through the door and by the time it was over I cancelled my reservation and went elsewhere. He refused to rent the trailer I reserved saying my Jeep Gladiator was a "soft top". It is a factory hard top and I do have a sunrider soft top on the front. But guess what? The Jeep is built with a factory roll bar so it doesn't matter if it has no top. I contacted Uhaul and they said the sunrider is an accessory and he should have rented the equipment to me, so he was completely wrong. He also put a note on my account saying the portion of my head above my neck was mush and I was very aggressive. And I was aggressive because I'm a grown man and I do not accept being treated the way this ignorant ass treated me. read more

This is THE ABSOLUTE- and I do not exaggerate- worst U-haul experience I have ever had. It is an independently owned location and the owner is has ZERO focus on customer service. This place gets one star or even zero stars. They sold my stuff for nonpayment after I authorized auto draft. Twice I gave them my card info. They never drafted me. I never received notification of pending lockout or auction. I finally received an email stating my stuff had been sold and I have a past due balance. 10/10 will never recommend. There are many other storage places in the area with reasonable pricing and who are much easier to work with. read more

I rented a U Haul truck from this place on 6/8/13. When I returned the truck, the attendent swiped his hand on the floor of the MOVING TRUCK to pick up some dirt. After that he demanded that either I clean up or get charged $25 cleaning fee. I reminded him that this is the floor of a moving truck, it cannot be spotless like a surgical table. He again said that it was "filthy". I refused to agree with him that the floor of the moving truck should be squeaky clean so that he cannot pick up any dirt off the floor. He told me to never come back to his business to rent a truck again. There is nothing more enjoyable to me than that. If I get charged this $25 fee, it is a blackmail and a hidden fee because nobody can possibly remove all the dirt inside a moving truck. I should have swiped my hand against the floor like he did before driving off the lot. Additionally, when I took the truck, the odometer read 73733.5 but the paperwork recorded 73733. I did not think much of this because it is only $0.59 per mile. When I returned the truck, the odometer read 73762.4 (29 miles driven). He actually charged me for that fraction 0.4 of a mile. What a sleaze bag. He told me to never come back and rent trucks from him again. I am gladly doing so for the rest of my life. read more

I called Chip at West Point and made reservations for a truck, then I had to change plans due to the place my mother inlaw was moving to had not received all the info they needed. Chip was understanding and rescheduled for the following week. He was a prince to work with and if anyone one needs a vehicle or trailer call Chip and he will do everything possible to help you. I read the only other review on here and still went to West Point even though it was not favorable and was I happy to find just the opossite of what she/he said. Great job Chip. I'll tell veryone about you and WestPoint. I guess I should take into consideration that the people who wrote the other review were from California. read more

I had such a good customer service experience here. The owner was extremely nice and attentive during the U-haul rental process. On top of that, when we were returning the U-haul we got a flat tire. He had equipment there at the office, and put the spare on for us free of charge in 103 degree heat. Couldn't ask for better service than that! read more
