On the large bastion there is a rose quarter in the form of a square parterre, which is framed by a line of trees, some of which consist of Japanese pagoda trees (or sophora). From there a path leads to the southern part of the garden on the lower bastion. The central rondelle is spanned by a strictly cut tree rondelle made of field maple. They give a very nice shade during the summer, and it should look very pretty when the leaves start to change colors in the fall. Quite frankly I was not very impressed with the rose garden section because it simply lacked volume and species of blooming roses, but the flower garden was well-maintained and attractive. With nice shade trees in circular formation, it was very relaxing even during the hot sunny early afternoon.

There is also a restaurant at the main entrance, so if you your hungry, you can visit there,sit outside and enjoy the garden view.
