Peaceful park with a lot of German's walking their dogs. Hard to imagine what once took place here, with the Nazi rallies. Walked to the steps of the Luitpold Hall, and checked out the Ehrenhalle, which was built to commemorate the Nürnberger soldiers who died in WW1. read more

I came here merely to see the grounds for their historical significance, and I was anything but disappointed! It is amazing to me that these places still exist, and it is eerie to walk through them and see the things I have watched on movie clips since elementary school. Very neat and worth a trip to Nuremberg. read more

The Luitpoldhain is a green zone in southeast of Nuremberg and is located next to the Dutzendteich. . During the dark period of german history the naazis used Luitpoldhain for their yearly demonstration of power. Hitler spoke to his fans and followers and they constructed a couple of buildings. After World War II the Nazi-building were destroyed. Only the big convention hall, which never was finished, is still there. The Ehrenhalle was built before Hitler gets Reichskanzler and is a monumental for the victims of WW I. Each Summer Luitpoldhain ist the location of the biggest concert of classic music. The Nuremberg Philharmoniker Symphoniker play for thousands of people. The audience is mixed from young to old and all have garden-chairs, blankets and picnic stuff with themselves. read more
