My family and myself have been going to Dr. Sureja's office for a few years now. Some values I'd…read morelike to share are availability and quick reponse from him and his team. If you are not feeling well they always make sure to open a quick spot for you to be seen. Before, Dr. Sureja, I used to wait for hours without being attended at other local medical facilities. During all these years, I'm glad to say that I have zero complaints from their service or billing process.

My experience with Gastro Center of Maryland has been miserable, from communication about my care…read moreto billing and administrative issues. I would not recommend this practice based on my experience. I told my doctor that I had previously been diagnosed with IBS, but I felt dismissed and as though she did not believe me. My colonoscopy and endoscopy were scheduled separately, approximately six months apart. I was left questioning why both procedures had not been considered together, and I did not feel my concerns were adequately addressed. I also had to go back and forth with the office about medication and obtaining a doctor's note, which cost $50. Getting the support I needed repeatedly felt unnecessarily difficult. Before my endoscopy, I was told my copay would be $200, but I later received a bill for $570. Despite requesting a breakdown and speaking with my insurance company, which advised that my copay should have been $200, I have not received a clear explanation of the additional charges. I was subsequently told I could not schedule an appointment until the balance was resolved. Most concerning, I called about worsening symptoms and was promised a callback from a doctor or staff member, but no one returned my call. My primary care physician ultimately directed me to seek immediate hospital treatment. Patients deserve to feel heard, receive timely responses to medical concerns, and understand what they are being charged. My experience fell far short of those expectations.

I am Japanese and have had so many experiences of Acupuncture since I was 6 years old. Dr. Susan is…read moreone of the best acupuncturists I have been to. If I could give 10 stars, I would. I had really bad knees and heels from over work/aging for months. I wanted to try anything before surgery or strong meds and went to several acupuncture places but could not find a cure. My neighbor highly recommended Dr. Susan so I gave it a shot. Dr. Susan is a pleasant sweet person who genuinely cares for her clients and their well-being. She asks many questions to understand your background and does family-like treatment. Dr. Susan is a licensed physical therapist as well and she is REALLY good at finding acupuncture points. Dr. Susan uses Japanese needle that is a well-made thin needle like cat hair. So you may feel nothing through a treatment. Usually acupuncture takes a time to show differences but I felt big improvement at her first treatment. I received 4 treatments in the first month and am 90% recovered already. I do come back for "tune ups" every two weeks now. This facility is clean and well maintained. My husband, who is a MD of western medicine, is her client now. I recommend her to anyone and everyone.
